Please excuse the shameful mommy brag!

A few weeks ago many of you really helped me when she was having some self-esteem issues regarding her height.

She's still been a little down on herself...in typical teenage fashion, but I think last night she really did feel (and look) like a princess!

I was so proud! They've all been working hard all year to learn all of the dances, and last night was their chance to show off.

DD and all of the other 1st and 2nd year, and Dance Club girls got to wear any color dress they wanted, and they were all so beautiful!
The girls in all white were the Cotillion girls.

Thank you!

No she's not tall, she is really short. She is 14 and about 4'10", and she hates it!

The other thread was about a lady that had really hurt her feelings about it one day. I was very upset, and all of these wonderful disers made me feel all better! :grouphug:

It wasn't prom, it was Social. It's an etiquette and dance class that she goes to, and they end each year with a Spring Formal.

They learn a lot of traditional dances, like the waltz and fox trot, but they also learn some others like the twist and shag. She loves it!

This was her first year, and then she'll do second year, followed by Dance Club, and then finally Cotillion.

She's beautiful! I love the dress, that color suits her well.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

She is gorgeous.

I saw your original thread
and she is very very beautiful.

I hope she had a fantastic time.

She looks beautiful and the dress looks lovely on her.

She is beautiful! What a difference between the girl in your sig picture & the young lady in those pictures.

She really does look lovely. Does she have a disney character earrings on? Possibly Goofy. We all have to learn to live in and love the shoes we are given. My almost 11 yr old is almost 5'4"and quite tall for her age. Lets just say it will be 3-4 years before the boys have to stop looking up at her. But having a 6'3" father helps give her the tall genes.

beautiful! how lovely and special the night must have been for her! :wizard:

.

She looks so beautiful. I remember posting to your thread about her height. I have a DD 14 (15 in Sept), she is also "short". I am only 5'2" and she is about 4'10. Everyone is taller than her at school. I always tell her she is going to take after her Mom. It's hard, especially at this age. Girls have such self-esteem issues at this age. There is that self loathing thing going on. My oldest DD is 18 and she's outgrown that self hatred thing. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel. :sunny:

She is stunning....you should be proud.....and she should be proud of her accomplishment!!!! :cheer2:
