The description and photos on the wdwinfo site look pretty cool ;). Is it worth taking time from our 5 days at WDW?I wonder how much time we should budget to visit (DD12 and me).I've read that the buffet at the GP is fabulous, would it be worth planning to see ICE and do the buffet, or would we regret taking that much time from our WDW visit?I'd love to hear from anyone who has experienced ICE; I'd never heard of it before.
Thanks for any thoughts!

Also, for anyone who would like the link:

I have not visited it at Gaylord palms, but if it is the ice sculptures thing, then I have seen it at Gaylord Opryland in Nashville. It is really fun. COLD - but fun! They give you a parka but you need a hat, gloves and anything else to keep warm. It is lots of ice sculptures, they are BEAUTIFUL! At the end, there is an actual ice slide that you can go down. Well worth the hour it takes to tour it but like I said, it is VERY cold.
Have Fun!

We too were debating on whether or not to go over to see the exhibit, during our Christmas trip. Our local Fox station showed it on the morning show yesterday, and that erased all doubt. ::yes:: It looks amazing! They supposedly have several more exhibits this year. The ice slides look like alot of fun for kids & kids at heart. :p Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to have time to fit in a meal., but maybe next time. We won't know until the last minute, what day we can work it in. I'm wondering if purchasing tickets in advance is necessary. Anyone know? TIA :)

Thanks,guys, for the info.

I wondered if you really needed to buy the tix in advance, too.Does it get really busy?
Debbie, did you have to book for a certain time, or just the date?
Thanks!!

We did the one in Nashville last year and our daughter requested that we do this one in Orlando this year. Our experience was you needed tickets in advance or you stood in a long line so we purchased our tickets online. Gaylord hotels are amazing places and worth walking around/having dinner. We're really looking forward to it. It will be the only thing we do offisite in a ten day trip.

I have seen the similar exhibit in Nashville as well. I would suggest purchasing tickets in advance too. The lines are LONG. Purchasing in advance, you can just walk in. I would say yes worth seeing, but I wouldn't lose an entire day for it! :D Go back to the parks for fireworks that night too! Then you get the best from both! :earboy2:

It seems like you purchased tickets for a specific time, but I don't remember for sure.

We visited this past Friday 12-03-04. It was very nice. I would say it only takes about 30 min to go thru at most! We went at about 1 pm. No lines...bought our tickets and went in. It is 9 degrees in there. The parkas they provide are very warm. The arms are long enought for you to keep your hands "pulled up" in them. They also have a hood. I do not feel gloves or a hat are necessary. It was very pretty.
