anybody think it's safe to go on Big Thunder Mountain?

Please don't be afraid to go on any attraction at Walt Disney World. The Walt Disney Company values saftey as the number 1 goal. I have a very good friend that works at WDW as a manager, he told me how many times they do checks on rides, and if anything is at fault they stop it, and close it down. Over the 100 or something times I have been to WDW I have never experienced any one getting hurt, or put in harms way. Just think that all of your newer attractions are computer controlled. Meaning that it knows very quickly if something is wrong, and can react faster then humans can sometimes. Just think, you are more likely to get into an accident traveling to WDW then having one in WDW. Food for thought.

A lot of that stuff is the people's fault, where for some reasons unbeknownst to the rest of the world their brains just stopped working. But to tell the truth, I would rather die in Disney because of an honest accident than a lot of other ways.

I have been on Thunder Mountain many MANY times and nothing has ever happened. Yes, accidents do happen, but I agree with the poster who said to enjoy your trip rather than worry about getting hurt.

That happened on a gondola type ride. I want to say it was a Dumbo ride (no, not the one where you ride the flying dumbos), because we have home video of me and my sister on it ( ). Can't you still see the "landing area" in MK?
