Lots of people have been injured. I've heard of a couple deaths. I went on it, and i was scared to death!!!! But nothing happened. But, after we went on, someone was injured. It was in disneyland.

big thunder mountain derailed. as in came off the tracks?

Wow that was some time ago. They have done many safety checks on ll the rides now to make sure they are extra safe. Don't worry about ride safety, Disney worries about it more then us they have it covered. :goodvibes .

Omg. I heard someone fell off the peter pan ride. But he is okay now :thumbsup2

i try not to think like that.

i know it could happen.

but i'm banking on it not happening.

anything can happen, but I'd rather enjoy my Disney vacation than worry about whether I'll survive the next ride I go on.

many people have died. When we were in disney, we were in line for big thunder mountain. I told my mom i didn't have a very good feeling about this. We went on the ride, and nothing happened. but then, about 30 minutes later, my grandma called us and asked us if we were alright. She said that someone was killed a little bit after we went on. I thank god every night because that could have been me.

what disneyland/world were you at?..the one in California? because the derailing of a Big Thunder Mountain Train took place in Disneyland in California. The one at WDW hasnt had a derailment for a long time, if not ever. And dont let that stop you from riding it, anything can happen in life and lifes too short to be worrying about things.

Exactly how I feel.

Yes, it is safe. Walt Disney World has very high saftey standards. If the ride is unsafe they wouldn't let you ride and let you know about conditions that people have that may cause complications if riding.

Wasn't that a long time ago??

Think at about this before you go onto ToT again: You don't know if the elevator is dropping from the ride, or because it broke..heh heh. This should make waiting in line more interesting!! ::mwahahaha::

you know that girl that had the heart attack on TOT? she got on the ride as we got off.

Someone also died on Spaceship Earth...thot he's be a cool kid by trying to step off as the ride goes backwards and onto the stairs and he fell through and died...
People can be SOOO stupid!
And like everyone else said...life is too short...enjoy it. When it's your time, it's your time...besides...what a Heaven story that would make!!!

"Say, how'd you die?"
"Well...it all started as I borded Big Thunder Mountain" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

yeah most of the time people die casue they r stupid. like that guy a few years ago who died on splash. he got up and fell between the logs. thats not disneys fault. he was stupid. sometmes a trian malfunctions or something and then it happens that way, but thats rare.

Many,many rides have broken down on me in WDW but no 1 is ever really hurt! I'm kinda new to the Dis so if there was a post about this then oops! ;

A LONG long time ago a wdw CM!!! was cleaning the seats on the thing that took you over WDW not the monorails but they (almost like a ski lift ride). As he was cleaning, another cm accidentaly turned it on and he fell and died!

I have not heard of many deaths, even injury's, on rides though ! :confused3

I personally think i would (should) be more afraid of being bombed on then falling of a ride lol!

That happened on a gondola type ride. I want to say it was a Dumbo ride (no, not the one where you ride the flying dumbos), because we have home video of me and my sister on it ( :goodvibes ). Can't you still see the "landing area" in MK?
