Anybody stayed at Poly during Grad nights?

Hi, we will be at WDW during Grad nights next year. We are thinking now about staying at the Poly but I have read some old posts and am concerned that we will be able to hear the music all night. I'm not concerned about the midnight fireworks but want to be able to sleep later.

Can anybody provide any feedback for this time?

Last year we stayed at the CR during Grad nights, and although we were even closer than you will be, and facing the MK, it wasn't a problem. The fireworks were loud, but did not awaken our DD, a light sleeper (the fireworks did awaken DH, who is also a light sleeper, but he was amazed at how beautiful they were, so he didn't mind!). The music could mostly be heard when the balcony door was open. When the door was closed, the music was very faint.

We've stayed at the Poly during grad nights the last 5 years. We've never heard anything. It was peaceful as usual!

we also stayed lagoon view during grad night and never had a problem with noise..very peaceful.

I just wanted to mention that last grad night there were a few people that posted that it was horrible at the Polynesian and they said they would never go again during that time. I am not trying to discourage you, I just wanted you to realize that even though there were more reports of it being no problem there were some reports of people that were very upset.

Thanks for that info also. I have confirmed our ressie anyway. We are only staying 2 nights onsite before moving to a timeshare. Only 1 of those nights is a Grad Night. I'm sure we can survive 1 night of music, at least if we are expecting it also. I'm really looking forward to staying at the Poly
