The Brits seem to love it, and Trip advisor loves it too.

We have maybe 3 days at teh end of our trip, which falls into the "President's Week" so lots of stuff is already booked. I checked Floridays and can get a 2 bed/2 bath "suite" for $138/nt. Seems like a good deal, and not too awful a transition from 10 days in a villa. Sounds ok, wondering if anyone's been?

We stayed there for a couple of nights post cruise. Nice resort, great units, close to WDW and shopping. Also have stayed across the road at the Vistana Villages which is great as well!

We stayed for 5 nights a few years ago. A lot of contruction was going on at that time. Units are lovely but they did not offer daily activities for kids which I didn't like. The main pool was fun - great poolside bar. We got an amazing deal by doing a timeshare presentation. If I had to choose between Sheraton Vistana Village (right across the road) or Marriott Grande Vista ( right down the road) - all are about the same price - Floridays would be my least favorite. But again, they did nit have the new water features that I have heard they have now.

I haven`t been, except the fountains is right next door. Floridays looks good from the street, looks fine to me. Just remember to keep the noise down, eh? :happytv:

I used to have a lime-green mickey head to ID myself while in Hfx...Now I think I'm going to have to look for a NS flag for the rental car. ;-) I'll be the one in Publix with the Sobey's bag.

I really liked Floridays. Great sized units, great quality furnishings and kitchen and very reasonable prices. I wasn't a fan of the pool just because it wasn't life-guarded (but I was spoiled by the Disney Resort pools at that point). So close to Publix and the Outlet Mall - wonderful.

We also stayed at the Sheraton Vistana across the road and I thought that it was crap. We, however, got a great price through Mousesavers but that meant they put us in the old ugly units (they said that that was what we got for that discounted price...).

In any event, Floridays was great!

May I also hijack your thread to inquire about:

Reunion Resort

Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa

Anyone been to these ones? It's a toss up between Floridays, Reunion and LBV for our upcoming March trip.

Thanks for all the feedback, folks. :-)

I have a res'n at Floridays b/c they had a great deal, $138/nt for a two bed at the end of Pres' week. I did check the other two mentioned, but they were substantially more (180 and up), and I was just getting 1 bedrooms. Not sure we'll use it, but I only need to cancel 2 days prior if we change our minds.

Who's ur daddy, I think I checked those places too and it seemed like less for the same money...but YMMV, depending on what you want, when.

Thanks all!

That price for a 2 bedroom until is an amazing deal! You will really enjoy it. As mentioned! Right beside a Publix and super close to everything! Have an awesome time.

We loved Floridays - stayed there for 10 days in 2008. We discovered it on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. Unit was beautiful, location was great, and the zero-entry pool with sprinklers and water features was terrific for our 3 year old.

This is where we stayed for a week last year and we loved it. It was roomy, modern, clean with daily housekeeping. The pool was a lot of fun for the kids and the place was quiet. I would not hesitate to stay there again, except we're looking for a place with a breakfast buffet this time.

Enjoy your trip!

Can I ask what these new water features your are talking about are?

Also, do you know if they have laundry facilities in the units?

Thanks:goodvibes:thumbsup2

We had 3 nights post cruise last December (2009) and were going to Seaworld and Discovery Cove and stayed at Floridays.. it was COOOOLLLLDDDD so we didn't swim there, but did grab a bit of food at the cafe one day.

I think we paid $118/night for a 2 bedroom.. it was a facebook friends rate.... you just have to like them on facebook to get it.

It was wonderful to have all that space after the cruise

Shelebeen, I tried to find them on Facebook and couldn't. (I'll be their friend if it saves me sixty bucks!). Can you tell me how they're listed?

We did a Disney cruise a few years ago, 4 of us in a cat 11 for a week then we had a smalllish housekeeping unit on Sanibel for a week. Yep, even that amount of space was amazing after the cruise! :goodvibes

They are: Floridays Resort Orlando. The way to get the price is by going on the Floridays website: http://www.floridaysresort.com/ Then when you get a quote for the days, click on best available rate and a drop down window will show, click facebook friends and it will show you the rate: looks like it is 20% off the rack?

I didn't have to show any proof of being a facebook friend or anything...

Oh, I see it now. It won't work for me, though, b/c it's showing the minimum stay as 5 nts.
