Passholder Discount for Yak & Yeti Restaurant Opening Soon

Travel to the land of Asia in Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park to experience this new Asian-fusion restaurant. Opening in November 2007, the Yak & Yeti Restaurant introduces exotic cuisine in decor inspired by villages in the Himalayan foothills of India and Nepal. Enjoy table-service dining and a full-service bar, as well as a quick-service courtyard. Don't miss the restaurant's shop with its remarkable range of regional products, from incense, sushi plates and fine teapots to silk purses and saris.

Passholders receive a 10% discount on entrees in the Yak & Yeti table-service area and a 15% discount on merchandise in its retail shop

Just called Dinning and was told that they are still not taking reservations :sad2:

Sounds like there will be a CS along with the TS. I wasn't aware of that!! That's great!! Hopefully they will have some good items!! I am going Nov. 25 - 30th. I already have all my ADR's planned and can't fit it in...but at least I'll be able to visit the gift shop!!

These are the same discounts that are offered to AP holders at the Rainforest Cafe. Sounds like Yak and Yeti will not participate in DDE or the DDP.

i called several weeks ago trying to obtain info about it but they said they did not know a single thing. they did not know when it was opening or what the menu would be like. so i said okay lol and we're going in feb but i think we will wait for the next trip because my parents are only coming for 5 days and we're using 3 TS and 1 TS as 2credit so we'll hafta wait on that one lol

I asked about it when making more ADRs tonight and there was no news. The CM checked the daily bulletins that Dining Reservation CM's get and there was nothing added.

I wonder if Yak and Yeti is going to follow suit with some other restaurants and not accept ADRs or the DDP.

Being that this restaurant is owned independently like Rainforest Cafe, I would have to assume at this point that they will not be accepting the DDP.

I am hoping I can use my Rainforest Safari Card for discounts there as I can at other Landry restaurants. My question is, since it is IN the park, unlike the other Landry restaurants, will they accept ADRs or must we call them direct as well.

I wouldn't be so sure. AP holders get 10% at the Epcot WS restaurants and at resort restaurants (although it's just at lunch time) , and they take DDE and are on DDP. So it's possible that it will be included. I'm just anxious to see a final menu and get a solid opening date.

We were at AK Sunday, and this restaurant is a long way from being completed. There's no way it's going to open in November -- I'm not even sure January is realistic.

I tried to make adr's for feb and was told that they will not be taking adr's until january
