I remember Bawb talking about a "secret" bench he used to sit on at MK to watch either the parade or Wishes, then one day I somehow I stumbled upon Bawb's "All About Me" page here on the DIS and I'm pretty sure he told where the bench was on that page, but for the life of me I can't remember where it was and now I can't find his page. I remember reading Corey's All About Me page too...are those still on the site?

I missed Bawb.

We walked by his favorite bench today and I had my first mojito because of thinking of his mojeeto at CSR. (oops on the spelling folks).

Funny I stumbled on this today.....I recently went back and listened to all the podcasts from the beginning (again) and today I got the Best of Bob show from when he passed away and the memorial show. It makes me cry every single time.

I miss Bawb too. Dh and I just got home from a trip to the world and during the trip I kept talking about different 'Bawb' moments. We would go by Coronado Springs and I would talk to DH about the whole episode where Bawb was talking about the 'seating areas'. And, or course, the Mo-jee-tos!

So very many good memories of a man I only actually met once, but learned to love him through the podcasts.

Another person who misses Bawb. One of my regrets in life is when I started listening to the DIS Unplugged. I started listening after my trip in May 2007. Bawb passed away before I could make it back to WDW. I would have loved to keep an eye out for him on a trip. I know I would have seen him since I was there for Star Wars Weekends and he was there doing a report for the show. But we have the old shows to keep him alive in our memories. I just have to make sure I don't listen when driving, or on the bus. One is dangerous and the other gets me really funny looks. :rotfl:

I miss him every day. Sometimes, when I'm not paying attention, I'll think he's still there waiting for me to get home from work. Mostly, though, I have lots of happy memories to keep me going.

Hi Diana,

Bob is a huge influence on my life to this day. Along with the fun and entertainment, were some life lessons too.

He knew what he wanted, and he had the courage and the creativity to make his dreams come true. Just like Walt Disney. I will always love and admire Bob.

I imagine Bob and Walt getting together for coffee every once in a while. :)

Bawb left us all with happy memories. :grouphug:

My boys still talk about Bawb and I often think of him.

Skip, I also picture him and Walt hanging out.

Last trip my oldest and I went to get a Dole Whip. :thumbsup2 She got orange and I got pineapple. :thumbsup2:rotfl: Yum!

Of course I was thinking of Bawb. :)

I just read Bawb's page.

What I did not realize is that we passed Bawb's bench and did not know it. :rotfl:

At F&W this year I had a crepe which was very, very good. We had a nice conversation with a man who we had a pretend argument over who was first in line. :lmao: We were but we let him go first. For some strange reason there was NO line at all. :confused3 We got lucky. :) The man said the crepe was something he had to get every trip at EPCOT. Sounds like a Bawb echo. :)

I have to get a crepe every trip now. It was really good.

And it is Bawb's fault that I had a Mojito at Sanaa one night. The wife asked WHY I was getting a Mojito and I said because Bawb wanted me too. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Blame it on Bawb. :lmao:

On one our first trips to WDW with the kids we got on the Safari ride at AK. We had just found the DIS and had started listening to the Podcast. The Safari truck pulls up and the driver LOOKS JUST LIKE Bawb! The driver starts talking to the CM loading the guests. The driver SOUNDS JUST LIKE Bawb! :confused3:rotfl:

Then we start driving and Driver Bawb is talking and the more he talks the more I think he is Bawb. :rotfl2:

I still think Bawb is out there driving guests around the Safari. ;)

Later,
Dan

I'm going to be in the MK on Wednesday, and I intend to have a Dole Whip for Bob...I miss him too. Hugs to you Dian-er.........

Dian-er - thank you for sharing Bawb with us. I never met him, in fact I didn't know of him until 8/09. That's when I started listening to the podcast. So I got to know him over the last year. I regret I didn't get to meet him in person, but I am glad I got to "know" him through the podcast. Again, thank you for sharing him with us. :goodvibes Penny

I miss Bawb as well. We always think of him when we are enjoying Dole Whips and whenever we see a kaht. I've listen to the podcasts from start to current a couple of times as have my boys (we listen in the car). They probably could recognize the podcaster's voices easier than some of our family now.
I've seen them all stop and concentrate when Bawb is talking, whether it's because he has a unique sound or they are really trying to decode Bawb speak I'll never know. I'm certainly glad he has been able to entertain and be a part of our lives (even though we never 'met' him).

Thanks for the hugs & happy thoughts of Bawb. He would have been so pleased to know all of you. He was thrilled when anyone came up to him in one of the parks to talk to him. He always stopped to talk & would write down their names & then mention that he'd met them on the next pod cast. He was just beginning to realize the impact the pod cast crew was making when he passed away. I know he's happy that they are carrying on with it & expanding it.
I'm looking forward to my trip on the Disney Dreams, going on the maiden voyage with a friend. Know Bab will be looking on while we experience the new ship that he predicted both the building of & the name.

:woohoo: :cheer2:

Dian-er, Hugs to you. As you said, Bob will be with you on your on the Disney Dream; so very kewl that he predicted both the building of it and the name. I hope you have a wonderful trip. :goodvibes

I think I remember a podcast on that...I'll have to go back and try to find it.
