Anyone sailing the Western Carribean on November 22nd, 2003? Everyone says this is a popular cruise and the rates sure say it is but I have hardly found anyone sailng with us? Anyone else booked? It will be my husband and I, my mother and step-father, and our 3 girls, ages 15, 6 and 5. This is the cruise with 2 Castaway Cays!!!! Can't believe I can't find anyone going?

Tiffany

We're going but are we really going to Castaway twice?
Keoni

Yes! Finally someone else!!! Yes, they are skipping Key West because of some power boating event and going to CC on Sunday and Friday. This is the 11/22 Magic only right now. One of the main selling points for me!!

Just made the deposit! I wanted to bump this up in hopes that others will post for us too Tiffany. It will be me, dh and ds (14).

Hoping other teens are going as I am still worrying that ds will be bored this time...LOL (said with tongue firmly in cheek)

This is a costly trip, but the only time I could work around school, work and sports schedules! I am sooooo looking forward to this though...TWO days at Castaway Cay!! whoo hoo!

My daughter is 15 and she will be with us. She had a blast last time, we never saw her. The new teen club should be open for them.

Do you have a travel agent that checks for specials. They released better rates a few weeks ago and we saved a ton of money.

Ok, anyone else going. Looks like we have me, my hubby, my mom, my step dad, my daughters 5, 6, and 15 and Ismac and her hubby and 14 yr old son. We need more!!!!!

Only 71 days until we leave!!!!!!!!!!! (We are going to WDW on 11/20)

Tiffany,
I go through Dreams...we just booked so I suppose I got the specials. I am thinking I need to just stick with the whole package instead of trying to get my own air. I looked at prices today and they weren't too much different then Disney's. The flight schedules were terrible too. I sure hope Disney can do better! LOL

Btw, we went last December and ds had the time of his life, we never saw him either. I am quite sure this time will be no different.:)

We did our own air this time because we wanted to pick our times and we only wanted direct. When we went thru Disney, it was connecting flights. We found great rates at the beginning of July, they have skyrocketed now. Mostly because we are going home the Sunday after Thanksgiving in the late afternoon when everyone wants to go home. Our roundtrip non stop airfare was $320, now it is over $600. But the other times are cheaper. We are flying Delta. I would check orbitz.com and southwest.com and see what you can find, if not then Disney's air should be fine.

Tiffany, you forgot me ......... Remember? Anyway, we're driving from PA on Friday afternoon, on a direct flight, non-stop 16-17 hours! We have 3 drivers, 17 year old son, Wife and me. I get the early morning shift. Boy sure don't want to 'see' anyone when we arrive. Would much rather freshen up first.
Looks like we have the ship to our selves!

Yes, I did, Sorry. But I didn't know how many and the ages. Glad to see lots of teens on this or maybe not since mine is the only girl so far! She is going on the teen Cozumel cruise if anyone is interested. She loved the one in Nassau and that was her first question when we mentioned this cruise.

Anyone on early seating? Also, we are in 7528/7530, where is everyone else??

Hi Keoni! Well at least we have a few families on board!:)

We are in 6596...I am not sure if ds will do the Coz cruise because we are doing the Tropical Jeep Safari (again) and last time we got back pretty late...not sure he would make it. Has anyone's kids done the one on CC?

Tiffany, if I remember correctly on being a teen girl (LOL) I don't think your daughter will mind being one of a few girls. :)

Lisa

edited to add: BTW, we are in late seating as we had early last time and rarely made it to dinner.

I know she won't mind, it is mom that is worried! We are trying to get her friend's mom to let her go with us, right now we are getting no's but still trying, they have to let us know by the 23rd of September, our 60 day mark!!!!

Come on, there has to be more Disers that this on our 11/22 Magic Cruise. Where are you hiding! 2 months to go, gotta be getting pumped now!!!

Ok, tomorrow is the 60 day mark!!! (for the cruise, we are leaving early). We just added another person. My daughter's best friend also 15 will be going too. We all figured out our shore excursions and are faxing them over 1st thing tomorrow. I wish it were here!

Tiffany,
Today's the day!!:)
I think we are switching and doing the Fury Catamaran in Coz for something different, but ds really wants to do the Teen cruise as well. Does anyone know if we will have time for both of these? I mean, getting him back to the ship after the Fury to meet the teen group?

Thx

Lisa

We had that same question!

me, hubby and little kids are doing the Dolphins at Chakanaab, grandma and grandpa are doing the Fury. The 2 teens had their choice but I warned them if they went on the 1st fury, that it would really cut out their primping time. I think they would have made it but not enough to get "beautiful" again. I think a boy should be fine. But yes he will probably get back with less than an hour to spare. I don't think Disney will book it if it is impossble. I would call and ask, if they don't know, I would do it. I told the girls they could but wouldn't have much time inbetween, they picked the dolphins, of course it is twice as much!

We just faxed ours in, I hope we get everything we asked for!!!

Hi Tiffany,
I actually phoned in our requests this am. I asked about this from the Dis Rep and she mentioned that the FC leaves at 12:40 and the Tropical Jeep Tour now leaves at 10:40 in order to get everyone back on time (another case of Dis listening to us):)
Soooo. I think he will have ample time to get back for the teen Fury. I also didn't want to "Fury" him out...LOL And we did have such a great time last year on the Jeep tour, figured might as well stick with a tried a true.:)

BTW, the dolphin excursion sounded fun too, but like you said, costly.:)

Yeah!
I've been searching for people going on this cruise! We made our final reservations a few days ago. We've never been on a Disney Cruise before. I was disappointed that Key West was cut out; is Castaway Cay that incredible?
We're doing the Stingrays in GC and snorkeling in Coz. Turtle Farm, Hell, and wandering on our own.
It's myself, my husband, and our two boys: 7 and 9.
What fun! I can't wait!

I have girls 5 & 6, so close to your boys! Yes, I think Castaway Cay is that wonderful. Peaceful, beautiful and alot less hectic than other ports. Me, I never wanted to do Key West because it was US(no I have never been there), I wanted something more exotic. I think we are all going to have a blast. I am glad the list is growing!

My travel agent just let me know that the week of 11/22, that Disney is having a 2 for 1 special for Castaway Cay excursions. Here is his info.

I received some updated information on the 2 for 1 offer:

It is only good on the Castaway Cay getaway package, on snorkel rentals,
on float rentals, and on bike rentals. So for example if you rent
snorkel equipment on the first day at the island you get the equipment
free for the second day.

Hope this helps you!

Thanks for the info., Tiffany.
We got brochures in the mail stating the same thing. We have our own snorkel equipment, but we're renting the floats and the bikes.
I've read on one of these sites that there are open air massages on CC. Have you ever done those? It sounds so decadent, I might talk myself into it.
Also, you've been on DCL before, right? What do the children do if you go to Palo's? My DS 9 is a huge lobster lover, and if I go to Palo's on that night and he's stuck eating pizza in the kid's club, there might be matricide onboard!
If you have any info., I'd appreciate it!
Thanks!
