I know that this has been discussed quite a bit but I still can't get on the DisneyWorld.Com site.

Thanks to this site I know that the link is back and can access it from my work PC but not at home

I would love to sit at work making plans, but I don't think it would go down to well :rolleyes1 I've tried emailing a link but it still takes me to the UK site.

I've tried clearing all my cookies (more than once), anybody got any ideas?

Thanks
Melissa

Hi if you get directed to the UK page there should be a link near the top left that says 'Visit U.S. site'. It's in white and easily missed but that should get you there :thumbsup2

Not sure if it makes a difference but I get quicker access if I log in and then go the "visit the US site":confused3 it's still kicks us back to the UK site from time to time:rolleyes1

Still doing it today, I thought this is supposed to be the World Wide Web!
This is not a browser issue, it is Disney redirecting you.

You used to have pop up to ask if you still want to go to the US site, now we get auto redirect. Please Disney if I want to go to the US site, then I want to go to the US site!

I know you can access it easily but...

I am able to access .com no problem but its no straight forward.
Have you tried going to bottom of .co.uk clicking on Disney online Internationasl, then click USA. Click Parks at top, then WDW down left, at this point it sometimes redirects to .co.uk, click back button then click WDW again, this time it chould take you to Disney.com.
I just did it no problem, I then clicked on Passholders, again redirected to .co.uk but clicked back and on passholders again took me there Ok.

Yeh, that the way I got in. But something you click on as you said take you back to the UK site!

very strange traffic flow, maybe they want the hit count up on the UK site!!:surfweb:

Funny, does the 'Visit U.S. site' link on the UK website not work for you?
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdwi/en_GB/ If so I'd suggest you clear cookies, and temporary internet files and have another go.

Yes it goes to the US site but then click on anything it redirects you to UK site, no matter what I clear it doesn't work as it should, if you look back through the threads there are lots on the issues(I think a mod merged some into 1 thread), Disney were supposed to be resolving everything by mid Feb, It is better than it was but still not how it should be.

Also people running Vista tend to be more succesful than XP so I guess they are developing the site for Vista but running into problems being compatible with XP.

Thanks for all the responses.

I can get on at work from the UK site by clicking "Visit US Site" but at home the option isn't there, and the link at the bottom of the page takes me straight back to the UK site. I've also tried links from a few other sites and no matter what get redirected to the Uk Site.

Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

At work I've gone into the US site a few times to day with no problems, but at home I have tried all of your suggestions a few times over the last week with no luck.

and at home I use Vista.

I just don't understand why I can do it on one computer and not another. Very fustrating.

Arghh I wrote a big long reply then the site hung...:headache:
Anyway I think it's to do with cookies/browser or something, but I think there is also some inconsistency with the website too.
Anyway I am using XP pro and IE7. I use Ccleaner to delete cookies/history etc.
If I do a clean, making sure all cookies to do with disney/disneyworld and go.com are removed and input into IE http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/
my browser title shows briefly 'detecting browser settings' then I get redirected to the UK site. I then can click the Visit US site link, and from there I have no problems clicking around anywhere I like in the US site.

Some inconsistencies however: Once there was no Visit US site link, but it reappeared after a clean. Once it took me automatically back to the US site even after closing the browser. :confused3
