We are going to Disney World in Oct. This will be our first trip - we will be there during my b-day and our daughters precious angel day anniversary. (she passed away at 5 months old, the day before my birthday, from severe health problems...we miss her greatly). We thought it would be nice to do a balloon release - our original plan was to release 157 balloons, one for each day she was with us..but FL law says that anything over 10 balloons has to be biodegratible - which is fine, they make balloons like that..but we wouldn't know what to do with strings! So not sure if that will work or not...

Someone then mentioned a butterfly release - but I can't seem to find ANY info about this - anywhere!!! Has anyone done this, maybe for a wedding or something? How much does it cost? How many butterflies can be released, etc???

Any other ideas or suggestions for a good way to 'celebrate' our precious daughters angel day would be great!?!?! We have been blessed with 3 other beautiful girls who would love to 'join in' on the celebration....and my parents are also going with us to disney.

Thanks in advance for your help - and prayers would be welcome as we plan this trip. We have NO clue what we are doing and of course planning for this is a bittersweet process....especially for me, the mama with a broken heart.
Thanks!

 I am so sorry for your loss. I think that is a beautiful way to honor your precious angel. Here is a link I found for a company based in Orlando. There is a Q&A page that should answer some questions for you.

I've had one experience with a butterfly release. I was at a memorial last year for a dear family friend who passed away from cancer. Her husband did a butterfly release in the garden where they held the memorial. It was beautiful. Our friends niece was there holding her infant daughter who she'd named after her aunt and a butterfly landed right on the baby's cheek and stayed there until we left the garden area. It was as if our friend was saying goodbye to her little niece whom she'd just met a couple of months before she passed away.

I hope your first trip to Disney is wonderful and I will say prayers for you and your family that it will be.

This is probably a stupid thought but you may want to call Disney to find out if they would even let you in a park with all those butterflies. Or do you plan to do it at your hotel? I'd hate the thought of you walking up to the turnstiles and them turning you away.

I don't know the answers to your questions but wanted to say I'm sorry about your daughter.

I hope you have a magical trip.
