Anybody have the Canon SD800IS?

Help I wanted a little camera so I wouldn't have to lug around my D50 everywhere. Which I love by the way. Anyway bought it without doing alot of research. I think I'm having buyers remorse. Mayby it was the price $399.00 . Please tellme if you have one and like it. Thanks

Can't comment on that particular camera as I don't have it. But, about a year ago, I had the same thought process - I bought a small Canon P & S so I wouldn't have to carry my SLR everywhere. Well, after a year, I'm back to the SLR. The P & S was convenient, but I just wasn't happy with the photos. I still keep the small camera in my purse just for an "emergency". And, I actually don't mind carrying the SLR as much anymore now that I have tried the alternative.

I got an SD700, which is almost the same thing except for a little more zoom (which I wanted) and not quite as wide an angle for closer subjects (I can live without this).

The picture quality of the SD700 is good enough for me for the convenience of a small camera. I am told the SD800 is comparable. True, it is just 6 megapixels compared with a 10 megapixel SLR, and does not have interchangeable lenses for even more zoom.
