Anybody have or have had an ADT home security system?

curious as to how you like it. we're considering getting one, have never had anything like it in the past.

Yes, we have had one for 9 years. Very good company...no complaints. A couple of times when we had a problem (they kept reading that the radio back-up alarm was going off), they were very good about coming out to fix the problem.

I recently had an ADT burglary and fire detection system installed in my home. The installer was great and did a neat job. The system is easy to operate. Best of all it gives me peace of mind.

The system can be customized too if you need or want extra features such as remote turn on of lights, monitoring for elderly, etc.

Can I ask how much is your monitoring fee? We just bought a house with a system, but it wasn't ADT. I am sure they will cover the monitoring though.


Lots of companies are calling to do a free install, but we haven't taken anyone up on the offer yet.

I had ADT at my condo and when I sold it and bought the house they installed it again for free. No complaints. I think the monthly charge for us is $35. I'm not sure I have it billed right to my Disney Visa for those extra Disney dollars.
