Anybody have any "Disaster" Turkey Stories??

I thought of another one..... thanks to the falling into the frezer story.....

Last year my hubby was taking the frozen turkey out of the freazer and it slipped..... landing on his toe...... and broke it...... in 3 places..... poor baby. Frozen turkeys and concrete floor dont mix.

One year, my mom took the perfectly roasted turkey out of the oven and placed it on the counter to cool off. She went in search of my dad to get him to come carve the bird.

By the time she got back to the kitchen, our cat, Thumper, was up on the counter having his own turkey feast!

My mother always cooked the entire dinner for us and her sisters family. Well, one year her sisters husband decided he wanted to get a turkey all cooked for us. So it was all planned and they were coming from their house about 1 hour away. Well, we had a big snow storm and they never made it. It was Thanksgiving, we had all the fixings...but NO TURKEY!
