I've been tossing the idea around of getting a little Tinkerbell or Mickey tattoo on my ankle. Of course, everytime I get the urge to get a tattoo I chicken out :o .

Anyone out there have one? I'm just thinking something small. Maybe have the Tinkerbell have her wand and have the pixie dust spell out my son's initials or something. Or maybe just the mickey "head" large circle with two smaller circle ears with my son's initials somehow incorporated.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Not yet, but as soon as I get my courage up, I plan on getting a Winnie-The-Pooh with angel wings on him, with Gabrielle's name underneath.

That will be beautiful 6_Time_Momma.

I did...but it washed off. :p

I don't have one but I did see a gal with a Tigger on her leg not too long ago. I've never wanted a tatoo but when I saw that I thought if I got one I'd probably do a Disney theme too :)

Good luck with your decision.

My sister has a really cool Cheshire Cat on her ankle. I could have sworn she had a Tigger too, but she says she doesn't. It must have been someone else I know.

The guy that does all our concrete work for us has this wife and she is a real hoot!! Has a ton of Winnie the Pooh and friends tattoos all over her lower legs/ankles. And she is in her late 50's, early 60's. My hero. And her dh, the concrete guy? Real tough guy type...but a marshmallow in truth. Says he's gonna get one pretty soon. I can't wait to see him up on his ole back-hoe, with a Piglet on his leg!!!

I like the idea of getting your son's initials or name incorporated with the design. Just remember, more kids will = more tattoos!

I have thought about getting one, though not Disney themed. Perhaps a celtic cross on my ankle. I had a temp tat done while at Universal last August and I thought it was a cross, but when I got back to the room, DH asked why I had a dagger on my ankle! Thank goodness it was not permanent!

Had a tinkerbell tatoo sprayed on my upper right arm when we were away at Hampton Beach

I don't have any tatoos, but have always thought it would be fun to get one. My dh says I should get a little black Mickey head put somewhere....hmmmm.

I have a lizard on my ankle, and Tinkerbell is next on my list. I was going to get her done on my shoulder (back), just like you described, but several people talked me out of that area. I might do her on my other ankle someday.

It goes without saying that you use a reputable tattoo artist, and actually ask him about his sterilization methods. If he is a good one, he will not mind your questions. Take your artwork to him, and have him draw it on paper and then he will draw it on your ankle. I don't want to scare you off, but the ankle area is more painful, because it is so close to the bone. I mentioned to my tattoo artist how much it hurt, and he said it was one of the most painful areas. DH got a pair of lipstick-red lips done on his behind, and he said it didn't hurt at all. It hurts, but you will live through it. And I would definitely do it again.

I love the idea of your DS's initials being incorporated into the tattoo. So great..

You may want to time this undertaking for off season. I can't remember how long, but I couldn't swim for a couple of weeks after I got it. I had no problems with healing following my guy's aftercare instructions-no infection, no scabs(sorry, y'all), just dry skin coming off after about a week or so.

I LOVE my lizard!! Good Luck, and post a picture if you do it!!:wave2:

yasuern - that is so funny, there was an article about him in my local paper over the weekend (Atlantic City Press). I was going to post the link, but you covered it!

I have 3 tatoos, none of which are Disney related. I have an angel on my hip (precious moments) that I got when I was 21, and I just got the other 2 for my 30th birthday. 2 butterflies on my lower back (one pink for dd and one blue for ds). Hopefully that's it, I'm done.

I'm turning 35 this month, and have been thinking about a tatoo. I also thought of a small tinkerbelle or just a mickey head! I'm a little scared though! LOL

I have a Tigger on my left thigh so you can only see it when I wear shorts or bathng suit and I have dolphins on my back shoulder (this has nothing to do with Disney other then I got it in Orlando on the last day of my 5th anniversary trip)

my best friend has mickey on one ankle and minnie on the other, she wants to get Cinderella's castle on the small of her back.

That Disney Tatoo guy was just TOO much.

I have one of Tinkerbelle on my left side with the chinese symbol for sincerity next to it. On my left side I have three dolphins and the chinese symbol for free spirit next to it. On my lower back I have a Celtic symbol for peace. Around my navel I have one I drew myself with shooting stars.

HollyJoy - I really never thought I'd get another b/c the first one did hurt. But then I realized that I did want another one after I had my kids. I just figured, hey I had 2 babies, how bad can a tatoo hurt??

(it did hurt, but not as bad as I had remembered the first one hurting!) And the 2 butterflies only took 45 minutes to do.

It's more of an annoying scratching than pain.

Good luck!
