Anybody going July 15-20?

We'll be at US/IOA for the first time ever July 15-20. I'm a little nervous because we're used to "Pixie Dust". We're pretty excited though and can't wait to see what it's like. We'll be at HRH (deluxe room since there are five of us). Hope we picked the right hotel, and hope the weather's good.

We are coming in on the 18th, staying at the RP. This is our fourth or fifth trip there. my boys are 6 and 4 and they love this place. We have done Disney a few times with them, also. They love both Disney and Universal. As we finish one vacation, they ask to go to the other next time. We just keep going back to Orlando over and over. I think you will have a great time. They are different from Disney, but just as excellent. I think Universal really knows what they are doing when it comes to service. We stayed at Hard Rock on our last trip and we all loved it. My son said he wanted to go to the beach next time, turned out he meant the Hard Rock Beach!

We will be there July 10-18. We are staying in a house close to Disney but we have 5 day passes to Universal/IOA. We really love both parks. They have done an excellent job with theming IOA, it's a lot of fun-tip- ride Dueling Dragons in the front seat for full effect, it's worth the wait. Have yet to go to Disney but am hitting Magic Kingdom this summer. Have a great trip.

We will be in Orlando July 5th - 25th. We're staying in a private home with a one night stay at the Grand Floridian (my birthday - we've booked V&As and can't be bothered with the taxi 'home') and two nights at PBH. We usually take a couple of nights out to stay onsite and it's absolutely the best way to do Universal, IMHO. We've stayed at HRH twice and it's a fabulous hotel within very easy walking distance of the parks and CityWalk.

Hey Zaxmom, we'll also be coming in to RPR on the 18th! It would be fun to meet up and say hi. Too bad our kids aren't the same ages to play (mine are 15 and 18) How long will you be staying there? We also used to do WDW all the time until we discovered US last year and it was the boys who asked to go back again this year! I had never been on a vacation that made everyone happy at the same time!

We're going to DIsney after HRH and are staying at POR, so we'll be in Orland July 15-26. I'm going to put lime green ribbons on our strollers so if any fellow DISsers see it be sure to say hello!

We're making our first visit to Universal after years of Disney only vacations. July 14-19 at the RPR.
Judging from these message boards, it looks like we've been missing quite a bit by ignoring UO.
My boys are 14 & 18... sounds like they're gonna love the place... as will my wife who is a huge roller coaster fan, and cannot believe that there are any coasters that compare with Aerosmith's Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
So it's bye, bye to the Mouse... at least for this year!

We're finishing our Orlando vacation with 3 nights at the PBH, July 15 - 18. Maybe we'll see you there!
