Anybody go to Disney in the summer and NOT go to the parks?

I love it. "We're basically staying only at the resort, except for trips to PI, and BB, oh, and of course trips in and out of the MK, Epcot, and MGM...but we're basically not doing the parks." Did you type that with a straight face?

My Face was straight - but my mind has been a bit clouded on Dilaudid for a couple weeks!

I wouldn't stay at one of the deluxe resorts with my 5 year old. If he could see one of the parks, he'd go nuts. At BC you'll be able to see the Epcot Ball and Tower of Terror. Heck, I'd have a hard time not going to the parks. I'd stay at CBR or Coronado Springs though. You'll have great pools, beaches, and bus transportation to DTD, the water parks, and other resorts.

I could never stay go to WDW and not go to the parks. I would probably have a breakdown. Haha.

Since you're going in December too why not just get annual passes and the DDE card. It would still be good next summer.

Thanks to all for the very useful info. We may end up getting AP's, but I think DH wants to go to a "real" beach instead. I may just have to sneak in a Disney trip and a beach trip both~
