I have an Aeroplan pts ticket, but, um, it's not great...coming home sooner than we'd hoped, with a brutal itinerary. I could move my points to something else and change it for about $200 if something good came up from the US. (Have done this before, you can totally change your itinerary without paying through the nose to restore your points to your account as long as the travel is within a year of the original booking...so we could, say, book to BC next summer and use our pts that way...anyway...)
We're trying to get back the week before Christmas, catching the end of low fares while still having time to drive back to NS to celebrate at home.
Been checking Allegiant, SW, Continental, tried AirTran...who else flies out of Maine or NH cheaply? Can currently do it for about $800 for the four of us with a better routing/timing than AC, but I'd want to save more than that to make the drive worthwhile. Kayak.com did me well last time but I'm not seeing anything special now.
Looking for historical data also.
Anyone get a good deal on that sort of timing last year or before? If the deals don't come out for a month or so, I can live with that, as we already have something for sure, I'm just looking for better...
