Anybody get their KFC raincheck?

It seems like it's been a month or so since I went to KFC and filled out my form to get one.

I agree with the PP. I don't think KFC expected the response they got. When I filled out the raincheck, I expect they threw them out. Especially since I didn't end up buying anything...I felt it was a trap.. they get you in there .. think you'll get to try the chicken, and then tell you to fill out the rain check.. so what do you do.. buy chicken anyway? probably most people did.. So.. KFC didn't really lose anything.

No but I wonder if the vendor is taking the time to weed out duplicate coupons. Each coupon had a unique bar code which can be traced back to the user/computer that printed it. I suspect a number of coupons were photocopied.

KFC said the coupons will have different effective/expiration dates so the stores can better handle the volume.

I called the customer service number for KFC, and they had a recording saying that the rainchecks for the promotion would be sent out by June 19th.

I mailed mine myself...I did not trust them being turned in through the store. I also did not get them in the mail until the day of the deadline so I will be surprised if I get any. I mailed in 3 and all had different bar codes.

That's not true. The original link that was posted on Oprah.com was in .pdf form. Every coupon printed from there had the same barcode. They changed to a bricks coupon format a few days later. Probably after they realized what a major blunder they made. But by that point it was too late. Thousands if not millions of coupons had already been printed.

I also mailed my own and made a copy of my 4 original coupons, plus the rain check form for my records. I plan to follow up if I don't see anything by July 1.

I received my coupon in the mail today. I only have about 10 days to redeem it.

I mailed my coupon in about five days after they stopped accepting them. I mailed my coupon in for the raincheck instead of asking KFC to send it in.

While I cannot be sure what happened at your KFC, I can tell you that we did NOT throw them out. At my location I personally bundled, packaged, and gave them to the UPS guy.

It wasn't a trap. We were simply overwhelmed. It probably would not have been as bad were it not for the (who knows how many) people who just made copies of the coupon. I had lot's of people just come in to fill out the raincheck. They didn't buy anything. ALL the raincheck forms went together. Whether you bought or not.

I accepted one of the raincheck coupons last night as a matter of fact. It was the first one that I have seen. I asked him if he mailed it himself and he said no. He had filled out the raincheck form and left it with us.

We got ours on Saturday. I mailed both my husbands and mine in the same evenlope and got 2 seprate letters with the coupon attached. It was good till July 6th. We used them both Tuesday and had no issue.
