Best non-stop price I could get from Harrisburg PA on Dec. 23rd was on this relatively new and unknown carrier. ($300 RT). After booking, I've read of some cancellation problems (they refund, but don't help you get an alternative flight). Anybody flown TMA or heard of experiences they could share about this carrier?

We had friends that were using them out of Oklahoma City in June, but they cancelled all flights and discontinued Oklahoma City service. They did get a refund but no assistance rebooking. By the time the flights were cancelled no other airlines were having sales and they had to pay quite a bit more! :(

TMA is a charter airline. They are required to meet FAA safety guidelines.

They must put your money in an escrow account and cant' touch it until they actually fly the route so in the event of cancellation you will get your money back. You will not be re-booked on another airline.

If they change the time of your flight they do not have to refund your money or rebook you.

If the plane is delayed due to mechanical or weather most of the time you just get to hang around waiting on the plane to get fixed.

The trade off for the above is cheaper airfares, it's just up to you.l

We flew TMA this past March out of Syracuse with direct flight to Sanford. Flight down was great. It was so nice to have a direct flight with 2 small kids. Everybody was very friendly & we were served breakfast. Arrived a few minutes early.

The return flight was delayed 5 or 6 hours. Not because of weather but due to a mechanical problem. Finally the flight was grounded. They made announcement that they were going to get another plane there for us. They passed out food vouchers. Finally the other plane arrived and we returned home without any further problems. Just the delay sort of put a damper on the end of our vacation but I guess those things happen. We did receive an apology letter about a month later w/$40 vouchers for all 4 of us on another TMA flight.

Stop stressing over the airline, they are worth the savings. We plan to fly TMA again next year.
Go and have a great vacation!! :)

We flew TMA to/from Sanford on June 24 and July 4. What a wonderful airline! clean cabins, friendly and attentive service. actual food for meals! I would highly recommend them. We were on time the flight out and about an hour later for flight in only because of the electrical storms around the Orlando area. All carriers were sitting, not just TMA.

You can reserve your seats online and save 5%.

We only wish they flew to more cities from the smaller regional airport they are based in. Anything to avoid Chicago's airports is reason enough for us.:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:
