Long story short... I have a right shoulder break down that needs rotator cuff surgery as I have 2 confirmed tears. I have been dealing with this since May. I am putting off surgery as during PT the left shoulder started breaking down also and needs an MRI to confirm what we suspect is at least one tear there as well.:thumbsup2

I cannot get to my MRI for my shoulder as I slipped Monday, fell on my right shoulder hard but also twisted my right knee bad. :rotfl2: Nothing is broken but I cannot bear weight right now and I also cannot use the crutches on account of the 2 freaking horrible shoulders. Current instructions use crutches and followup for a knee MRI if I cannot bear weight by day 10👍👍👍👍👍👍👍:rotfl2:

Oh no….I’m sorry to hear all this.
Sending loads of PD to feel better soon:wizard::wizard::wizard:

To answer your question….yes, I have had those WTH times where you can’t catch a breath between the issues. It’s exhausting :faint:

Yes, 2023. 5 procedures, cancer, Cushing's, and now another potential surgery. It sucks.
:grouphug: I'm sorry you're both going through this & have faith things will get better for you soon. At least, that's what I keep telling myself. We should start an old & cursed support group. :p

Edited to add omitted word.

Thanks and hugs 3rd time! I am a 7 year cancer survivor this month. I wish you the best It honestly feels like it's been a nonstop ride since I went through Chemo etc. I just feel so much older than my years and apparently my joints agree:rotfl2:

I am trying to laugh but I am also feeling pretty down so... thank you :)

I've been on a meds roller-coaster. I thought I'd found the ideal drug for my condition, but had to HALVE the dose due to toxicity. Then I had to come off another drug because it would potentially give me cancer. This came after trying 50+ meds to keep me safe with side effects such as fainting and seizures. Now I've tried to adapt to a new drug and it's not going well - tremor, an inability to physically speak and more. The perfect med is out there, I hope - but it's taken 20 years of failings to get there and at the moment, the end is not in sight :(

I fluctuate between felling cursed and blessed. I have a degenerative foot condition and have had three extensive reconstructions. Sometimes I feel cursed and mad at my body - like right now. Other times, I am grateful that I can still walk, and in normal shoes (for now). I see so many stories in my online support group for this condition and realize that I should be grateful for what I have right now. Getting old sucks - but it beats the alternative.

Hang in there fellow warriors.

i'm so sorry. i feel your pain-i'm icing my should today and it's radiating down my back and right arm. i have frozen should on my right side due to wearing a back brace in high school for scoliosis (think the beast that lisa kudrow wears in romy and michelle's high school reunion). it's acting up today-no way to get comfortable, don't want to take too much pain meds.

btw-been there with the crutches, fell one time and sprained my ankle along with both wrists.

take care, hope you get some relief.

I refer to 2023 as The Year We Got Old. I fell, landed on my knee, was on crutches for about 6 months and finally had a total knee replacement. I also injured my ankle when I fell and it looks like I'm going to need some foot reconstruction. DH fell twice and ended up with a severely compromised shoulder. They thought he might need a shoulder replacement but it turned out he only needed rotator cuff repair. Still a long haul. I'm doing OK, DH is doing really well. Now it's DD's turn. They think she might have interstitial cystitis. She's pretty miserable right now, and it's so hard to see her go through this and know it might be chronic.

So sorry to hear this. It sure has been rough for a lot of Dis'ers for sure. I have noticed that you post quite a bit and have always enjoyed reading them!
