Anybody ever sing a song with Dapper Dans?

We'll be visiting DLR for our second trip and I was wondering if anyone has ever sung a song with the Dapper Dans? As I sing in a Barbershop Quartet, I almost always sing one with the ones at WDW, but did not know if this is done at DLR as well. At WDW, when they finish a set, I ask to sing a song with them, and was hoping to do this at DLR, too.

The DDs will pull people up to sing with them during their show at Coke Corner, but it's just a little fill-in-the-blank kind of thing, not an actual song. They usually scurry off pretty quickly after most of their shows, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. I would just keep it to the first 16 bars/1 min or so.

I'll give it a shot. I know there are differences based on the makeup of the quartet, but the guys at WDW will sing an entire song or two with me. Gonna ask, anyway.

My husband has joined them for a full song all 3 trips we made to WDW and was wondering the same about the DL Dapper Dans...they are my favorite thing about WDW!!!!

The Dapper Dans are cool. As as are the Boot Strappers in New Orleans. I am sure that the Dapper Dans would be happy to sing a little something with you if you ask. It's all about keeping the guests happy right? Even the piano player at Coke corner will step down and let you play if you ask him. I asked him once if I could play "A whole new world" and he was thrilled to let me do it. Who knows! All you can do is ask. That would be fun to sing with the Dappers.

I am. And I have. And it was really fun. I have proof! (see sig)

Best way to sing with the Dans is to catch them making their way along Main Street *after* a performance. What I did was youtube some of their repertoire and match up what I knew so I had some ideas of what to sing with them. They are BHS members too so they should know the polecats, in fact they picked one on the spot for my first song. After that, we did Coney Island, most of which my wife got on video.

CMs standing at podiums with walkie talkies will have magic cards with entertainment schedules including the Dans, ask them when you get to MK, then try to plan to hook up. If they're smart they'll tell you which appearances are heavily structured and conversely when (and where) they will be more at ease.
