The neat thing about Animal Crossing is that you do NOT win or lose. You do daily living type things (talking to neighbors, fishing, visiting the museum, shopping, furnishing your house, etc.) There are many many surprises as things change daily and through the seasons. For example, there are some fish that can only be caught in September. . .if you don't play year-round, you'll miss out on stuff. Try playing around the different holidays, too.
This game is wonderful for young children who are old enough to handle the controller. My DD6 won't play most games were you either win or lose but she loves Animal Crossing.
