I was thinking about getting one for a birthday dinner in December. I was just wondering what they are like and if they are any good. Any experiences to share?

I want to know this too...I will piggy-back on your thread if that's ok...Mostly I just get a kick out of the pic in your sig...Too cute.::yes::

That's kind of funny because the one I need is for a WENDY...and it's for December too...If you say the 10th, I will faint...LOL

I need a cake also!! We are staying at SOG, but I am guessing they probably can't do anything.... So, I am looking around for other ideas. Many say that you can get one at the Grand Floridian....

Anyone out there have any experience with this????

Thx

I'm planning on ordering one for my mom.. we're eating at 'Ohana on Dec. 10th too! When I made the ressie, the CM gave me a number to call 48 hrs. before to put the order in. It's (407) 824-2165. PhotobearSam, what time will you be there? We'll be there at 7:40pm.

Missing it by one day...I guess we will be there on the 9th...:( It would have been so nice...Our B-day girl has to fly home on her birthday on the 10th...

Thanks for the number...Do you know how much they are?

I ordered one for next Weds/6 Oct, they had 2 kinds. 1) vanilla cake w/white chocolate filling and frosting 2) chocolate w/dark chocolate filling and frosting. I think it was $25 for the 8in cake, I can't quite remember cause I ordered it last month. If you PM me after the 12th of Oct I will be able to give my review/opinion of it.

Do you think you could check back with us and post the review here? By the way - I will be doing it on the 6th - not the 10th (would'nt THAT be too weird if we were all there on the same night, hee hee!)

me me me me! I just had my birthday dinner at Ohana's after our reservations elsewhere were cxled thanks to Jeanne!

(I was with a large group, and they are not Ohana-types, so they were a little disappointed)

They ordered a cake for me - it was about 6 inches, angel food (but I thought that the icing was not good quality, too much shortening or filler). Medallion with Mickey and happy birthday message on top.

The child in our party had her birthday the following day, so they brought her out a cupcake with icing and sprinkles.

They did do a nice job singing happy birthday, and there was another birthday at the next table.

Best part of dinner was when they dim the lights for Wishes and pipe in the soundtrack during the fireworks - I was not aware that they do this so it was a nice surprise.

It was 3 year old's favourite meal, by the way!
