Anybody ever go on the "Rum Point Beach" excursion

Having 2nd thoughts about our GC excursion choice...we leave this Sat. Anybody ever go on the Rum Point Beach Adventure? I have read a lot about 7 mile. We are going with our two boys 2 and 5..

We have been to Rum point and 7 mile beach. We went last Thanksgiving to Rum point. It is a very beautiful area, it had less people and more shaded areas. We went to 7 Mile beach this past May and it was very crowded and no shade to speak of . Our children were 6 & 8 at the time and enjoyed Rum Point. It is just a matter of what you are looking for and what you like. Both areas have powered water crafts to rent..Which I must say the kids (both big and little)really enjoyed.

I would love to ask a few questions about Rum Point Beach Adventure...I need to decide tonight because of the cancel/chage policy.

Ok..I know it sounds stupid but, how was the lunch? My one child is Mr.Picky...the rest of us will eat anything. What kind of sandwiches do they have?

Did it take a long time to get there? I see that you travel by bus then a 45 min. ferry ride. Was the ferry fun? Did your kids like it? It seems like it would be nice.

Was there any shops or things to do if the kids don't want to swim and sand play anymore? I guess I ask this because we are dependent on the excursion transportation and I assume there is only one time offered to get back to the ship.

We book 7 mile and I know we could hire a cab on our own...the time we booked was for 12:30 and DCL says the bus picks up at 4:15 but, I read on a navigator that the last tender to the ship leaves at 4:30...I am worried that we wouldnt' make it back..

what to do..I am driving myself nuts
