Anybody ever flown to Jacksonville and driven?

Flights quite cheap. £429 with USAirways from LGW.

According to google maps its about 165 miles from WDW. Not too bad.

Anyone ever do this? Whats airport like?

Never done it myself but there are quite a few doing that route this month, fares into Jax were about half the fares into MCO. I believe its a similar distance as Miami to Orlando, about 3 hour drive, I wouldn't hesitate at the right price.

Have you checked flights into Tampa? We got BA flights for £460 each and its only about 80 miles from WDW.

Yeh. Flown in tampa before and like you said its not far. TPA prices dont seem to be that much cheaper than MCO at the moment though, but JAX is.

Flown into TPA twice in last 2 years but for some reason they want more than MCO recently.

Never been to jacksonville but it is just a little further north than st augustine and we did that as a day trip from orlando one year.

Very doable if the price is right!

Just booked for next Easter 29th Mar - 12th Apr into JAX got it for £382.21 each. As already mentioned MCO coming in about £460 and TPA nearly the same.

Just going to check out the airport website to see the facilities, I already checked car hire was on site.

On my Nokia maps its 2 hrs 50 mins and Google maps 3 hrs 12 mins to where we normally stay.

Never been to JAX before, but "if the price is right" I'll go anywhere.

Booked flight to MCO now. Found a super price with Delta.

LHR to MCO via BOS. £466 for adult. Tidy.

We did pay the extra £50 each way for Economy Comfort but still very pleased with this price.

It's not a bad drive at all. The Speed limits are high. You could make it in about 2 hours. There is really no chance of getting lost. Its a straight route.
