Anybody else with musty/damp BWV issues?

We just returned from 10 days at our home, BWV, and had ongoing issues with moisture in our 1BR. We have been members for 11 years and this is the first time we have experienced this problem.

We always keep the fan "on" to keep the air circulating and rarely open the balcony doors. Our towels were never fully dry in the morning after evening baths. We would often come back to the room in the evening and a strong, musty/moldy odor would be present.

We repeatedly called housekeeping and the front desk. They sprayed a couple of times and I asked for a complete cleaning (our allergies were going wild!). They told us that all rooms are damp and it is the Florida weather. They also said that the carpets are steam-cleaned and the pads may not fully dry out, leaving moisture in the room.

We just got home last night. When I opened up our dirty laundry bags, all of the clothes feel slightly cool and damp. I came home with a killer ear & sinus infection and the rest of the family has upper respiratory issues, too.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Members at BWV for 10 years. We have had this problem on maybe 2 trips. The carpet cleaning is probably what made the room so damp. And indeed the FL. weather doesn't help! Next time you have this problem try this. Turn the A/C WAY down when your not in the room. Yes it will be like ice in there when you get back, but just open the outside doors and set back out of the room for 15 minutes or so and it should be better when you get back.
