Anybody else on hold for Disney Dining?

Have you actually spoken to anyone yet, or just the automated system? If you haven't reached a real person, you may be lost in the system. Maybe hang up and redial?

I finally got through. The only reserved meal we'll be doing on T-Day is DD & I at Ariel's Grotto for an early lunch. We'll probably go to Mimi's for our lunner *did the same last year and it was great. DS is 11 and 3A + 1C is too much for me ~ I wanna take DH to Blue Bayou *just the 2 of us  on Black Friday - I'll call again for that tomorrow.

ETA ~ wait according to *this* I can make 11/25 PS today - back to holding with Disney Dining again... and I should be able to get 11/26 as well, I dropped the ball on this one.

Can you use VP? They made all our dinning PS, even our Thanksgiving dinner PS...I emailed VP with my list of places to make our PS's and they emailed me back with our dinning itinerary...so easy...we are staying onsite...jc

VP has made our reservations for all of our trips. Works well.

Jack

Nope - no VP, we're off site and I booked the hotel on my own. I'm still on hold *I'm annoyed, I said to the CM "I'll call tomorrow for Blue Bayou for 11/25" why didn't she say "We can take care of that now."??

I called exactly 60 days out at opening for our first DL trip. The agent acted like I was CRAZY. She was like, "This isn't Disney World." :lmao:

Vacation Planning-There are two ways to get in touch with the Vacation Planning Department: email them at vacationplanning@disneyonline.com, or call 714-300-7526 (option 2) I think you have to stay on property to
use the service...jc

Ok - done with my 2nd call *a while ago. DH & I got BB on the 25th at 11:30am :woohoo: My mom might take DS to Storyteller's for a late breakfast.

In general, it doesn't seem that Disneyland dining reservations are that hard to get. I've called a couple days before or even the day of and gotten a seating at the place and time I wanted. For special events and holidays though such as Thanksgiving, I wouldn't take any chances and would call as soon as it's possible to book to ensure I get exactly what I want. Today was the first day Disneyland was taking Thanksgiving Day dining reservations.

Is it true that if you are staying onsite, that they put aside some reservations for those people and you just go to concierge and they will give you one of those slots? I'm also staying
Thanksgiving week. I'm not trying to get anything on Thanksgiving day but maybe sometime during that week, just not really sure until I get there. Is it safe to use this service, or is it a myth that it even exists?

What is vacation planning? I there a fee?

Vacation Planning is a service that will assist guests who are staying on-site with things like Priority Seating reservations, in room celebrations, tour tickets, Fantasmic dessert seating, etc. It is free for on-site guests. I don't believe those who are not staying on-site can use it.

Not true. Concierge can help you book an opening but there aren't slots set aside. In general PS isn't a must for most places, but for a holiday meal it is.
