Anybody else having Disney withdrawals?

Or is it just me.. Some Karubi Style ribs from Pecos Bills sounds good to. It's amazing the much smaller things you miss not just the rides.

Your missing the ribs from Pacos Bills? You really must have it bad. I have withdrawals when leaving our resort during the car ride to MCO for our trip back home, and for a week or two after that. Planning our next trip always helps.

So, so lonesome here!! And if you see my ticker, it'll be a loooong while until we return! :(

We were just there in March. We won't be back again until Thanksgiving of NEXT year :(. That is 491 days from today. Oh, I didn't mention I've had a countdown going on my phone that reminds me every morning since halfway through our March stay? :) - That started at 627 days.

Is it bad that I got a little happier and did a little dance when the countdown changed from 500 to 499 days?

Is it wrong to listen to D-luminations radio every night hoping to hear Carousel of Progress or Splash Mountain?

Only saving grace about the almost 2 year wait, is that we'll be going twice in 6 months the next go round.

I have been suffering from Disney withdrawal since our last trip in July 2013 .
It's going to be a long winter at my house since we have to wait until April 2015.I have lots of fun planning our vacations, unfortunately it is a poor substitution for the real thing. I'm not homesick....just 'mousesick'. Thank goodness for Disboards..:goodvibes..it keeps me going.

Oh it's the worst! The second you pass through those gates into the real world it's like a bunch to the gut. Yeah, sure when the plane lands and you're back home and seeing your friends and family for the first time in a little while it's nice.

...But then you start getting the chills, you can't sleep, you can't eat. You sink into a depression. Your therapist has to up your meds.

It's not pretty.

(At least until you start planning the next trip!) ;)

It really is a heartsick feeling, isn't it? I think DD gets it as bad as me, which breaks my heart all the more. I've mentioned this on other threads, what I tell DD is that WDW WILL be there just waiting for you for the rest of your life, just waiting for the next chance you have to get down there.

I've gotten to the point that I'm already planning the trip after next. We are going just for 4 nights in September, then our cruise for spring break. We always have to go away in the summer for DD's dance, so our next chance might be spring break 2016. I'm thinking a 10 night, deluxe on the monorail extravaganza - and the best part is I have ~1 1/2 years to save up!!

It's a sickness.

After our 9 night last stay in WDW in February 2013, I left telling DH we're done. No more Disney. Then we went to Univeral/SeaWorld/Discovery Cove in December and I got off the plane and I wanted so bad to walk towards DME and hinted several times we can change plans last minute if we really wanted to. DH then knew it wouldn't be long until we were coming back. :)

:rotfl2: Too funny. Mousadone for Disney Detox.

I feel your pain, OP. I have cravings for the chicken BBQ salad at flame tree and sometimes our environmental services crew uses the same cleaners around here that they do at WDW and I'm jonesing again!

We used to have a CD of sounds from the parks- just things like the Grimm Grinning Ghosts song, etc. That always got me in the mood for being at the parks! The smell of fake oranges (like in cleaners) gets me wanting to ride Horizons again (RIP!).

DS and I are always talking about going back to Disney. We are hoping to attend our 1st MNSSHP this October, but if that falls through we are planning a trip June 2015. It's so far away, 318 days! :(
