I'm in Northern Illinois, near the Wisconsin border. Tons of die hard Bears and die hard Packers fans, and everyone is pretty excited about Sundays game.

Tomorrow the hospital where I work is declaring it Bears/Packers day so we can wear jerseys and team colors tomorrow. My kids school is doing the same so they are obsessively looking for clothes to wear. We are a Bears family, but my 7 year old is killing me by declaring she is.....A PACKERS FAN! What??? So I have only a few minutes tomorrow morning to try to convince her she is really a BEARS fan!

Anyone else in IL or WI doing the same thing tomorrow? It should be fun to see all the teachers tomorrow in their team colors. They are so die hard, most of them Packers. DD always complains that her gym teacher makes the Bears fans run extra laps while the packers fans get to sit out!!

DA BEARS!!!!!

Yes!!! Where I work (Chicago) is having team jersey/colors day!!
And the cafeteria menu is inspired by and the dishes named after players on both teams. Should be fun.:)

This game will definitely be bigger than the Superbowl!:rotfl:

GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah!! Got my blue scrubs out and I'm wearing DH's orange Tshirt under it. I wonder if we'll have a team menu too? I'm putting blue and orange ponytail holders in dd's hair (the Bears fan one) and dressing her in blue. My other dd plans to wear green (boo) and I might just hide all her green clothes while she is sleeping.

GO BEARS! PS Could have gotten tickets for Sundays game but it is too darn cold for me. Would much rather be warm and watch it!

I'm wondering if you kids go to my school. I teach in Huntley and that sounds like one of our gym teachers! He has been wearing his Packer shirts all week. Yuck! Go Bears!! Oh, and to answer you question, my class will be wearing team colors tomorrow. I told them I'd better not see anyone wearing green!

We are having NY Jets day at our school tomorrow...have had Jets Fridays for the past 2 weeks. I even made my dd new Jets fleece pants tonight for her to wear tomorrow:thumbsup2

The school where I was substitute teaching today declared tomorrow Packers/Bears day. I found it funny when they made the announcement at the end of the day - it set off a huge debate among the kids in the hallway about who was going to win and who was better. I was teaching 2nd grade - the rivalry and hostile feelings towards the other team are taught and learned really young! :lmao:

By the way, I am in southeastern Wisconsin, in the Milwaukee area. So this is Packers territory, but there are some Bears fans mixed in. All I have to say is...

Go Pack Go!!

yup, where I work and the schools around here are having Packer/Bear day. I'm in South Central WI on the border of IL. There are about as many Bear fans around here as there are Packer fans. I'm ready for it all to be over with. It's getting pretty nasty with the comments/jokes people are getting down right mean. I, personally, am a Cowboys fan, so I won't be participating, except for Proudly wearing my Cowboys lanyard at work with my name badge on it (yes, even after the year the Cowboys had).

Yep Steeler day today. The kids have black and gold day at school. I have black and gold day at work (but I'm off today) and there is a rally in the city at noon today to get everyone pumped up for the game. Yea right like that hasn't happened already.

Yup, today is Packer day at school. :)

DS is wearing his new Matthews jersey. :cheer2:

I just heard on the radio that people in Chicago are saying Rodgers should be "taken out" on the first play of the game...as in, injure him.

I briefly heard it and don't know if that is attributed to players, fans, coaches or what, but I thought it was pretty rotten if it's true.

I hoped for years that the Bears would "take out" Favre - legally of course - not like the Packers - Charles Martin did illegally to Jim McMahon in 1986.

My screen saver at home and work is Favre on the turf face down - this year, the last play of his career, against the Bears.

Last year, every doctor's office, local businesses, and the schools had a Saints dress up day on Fridays. Then it ratcheted up to 3 days and the week before the Super Bowl, it was everyday. Lots of fun. Hoping both sides are enjoying the season as much as we did last year. Good luck!!!

We live in the Chicago area & they could wear team jerseys, etc. Of course, my daughter wore her Rogers jersey. She wasn't the only Packer fan at school either !!!

GO PACK GO:thumbsup2

no, but back in '85 after the Bears win the Superbowl, my company closed on the following Monday ..without telling me! I got the train as usual, trecked the 3 blocks in the cold (Chicago in January,, not fun) get off the elevator, down the hall and BAM! Note taped to the door..day off in honor of Da Bears!

K, I am not a Bears fan but fine, enjoy the day off, but LET ME KNOW! The maintenence manager of the building saw me and said she received a call to put the note on the door (I worked for a small company) but sheesh....

They knew exactly what they were doing, and I thought it was pretty darn rotten... but then again, typical. Being from Chicago, that is exactly why I'm not a bears fan. For that sole reason, I hope Favre comes back.. even if for one more game.

Caz I know we're gonna be seeing a lot of that this sunday!!!:banana:

ETA: To stay on track for this thread.. I would have my tires slashed if I wore my Pack garb around here... seriously!! I'm heading to Wisconsin to watch the game and cheer with fellow cheeseheads.

GO PACK GO!!!!

I'm with Rollie, Black & Gold Day here!! ;)
