Anybody else getting new questions when making reservations?

This morning I was asked for my zip code just before the CM confirmed my dinner reservation.:confused3 I had previously given my ressie # and phone number, so not sure why that was asked.
Most likely for marketing/research/survey purposes.

You already have to have a photo ID for tours when you go to check-in, from what I've been told by Disney Tours.
Age. Most tours have age minimums. A photo ID would likely include the holder's birth date; combined with the photo, presenting the ID requested shows that the person standing there is (a) the person reserved and (b) old enough to be there. No, children on tours that allow children would not need to show an ID.

No doubt the screen asks for this info each time. So what if they ask? They really do have to read the script each time, other wise some person will say "They didn't tell me this restaurant was non-smoking when I booked it." Yes, having worked in customer service (not for Disney) there really are some people that you must be that specific with about everything each and every time.

You got that right. We had scripts that had to be completed and they were LONG! These were very wordy like legal briefs (were written by our legal team) and if one word was missed the call failed. No one was happy but you knew which customer would call back and demand that the recording be played because they insisted they had never been informed.............Thank goodness we recorded 100% of our calls for that project!

Now that is strange. the only time we need a zip when booking dining is if we are taking a credit card so we then need the billing address including zip code.
