Anybody else feeling this way?

Don't get me wrong, I love summer. I love the green grass and the birds singing in the morning, and the sunshine. I love the warmth - I hate winter. But seriously, I am beginning to hate the heat wave we are having in Edmonton (30 degrees plus everyday) and the weatherman forecast this will last for another couple of weeks. I don't have AC in my condo OR my car, and I am beginning to get VERY grumpy (my poor BF). I have lost ALL motivation to train for a 10km that I am running in a couple of months and am losing all motivation to leave the house most days. Although I love summer, this is just getting crazy...Oh...and there are NO AC's left in the entire city. Ordering online takes 3-4 weeks right now. And to make it worse, it has only rained 1 night in the last 10 days (well...maybe 2 - I work nights - can't be completely sure!), so now all my pretty flowers are dying because I can't water them fast enough!

Anybody else feeling this way?

Too bad you couldn't sent some of that heat our way. I live in SW Ontario and it has been a very dry and cool summer compared to our usual summers. I haven't had the AC on for about 3 weeks. We have a pool and no one has been in it for about two weeks, it's not warm enough!
I can't imagine having no AC though, especially if it's that hot! I don't blame you for being grumpy! Hang in there and remember winter is coming and I lived in northern Alberta during the winter years ago!!!!!!!!

That's usually us at this time of the year - except I could never live in Ontario without central air!

We really have had a dry cool summer - kids have had less then 1/2 a dozen days that were decent for sprinkler running - doesn't look like it's going to get overly hot until the middle of next week either.

I guess you got our Ontario summer this year!

it has been so hot here to..but we have ac so i can't really complain..but up until a few years we didn't and boy was it bad.
yesterday it was so humid-unreal.

For me it is not the heat but the 85-100% humidity along with the heat we have had for 3 weeks that is making me miserable! My SIL who is 39 1/2 weeks pregnant lives in Edmonton and she is really uncomfortable too. She went into labour a day and a half ago and still has not transitioned so she is exhausted and I am waiting to see if I am going to be a first time Auntie to a niece or nephew! Here is to a cooler August!

I'm in Edmonton as well, and I am -so- enjoying this very, very short reprive we've had the last two days. Only 27 degrees today, and I'm ecstatic! But, unfortunately, we're supposed to get right back up to in the 30's by this weekend.

Sorry that you're uncomfortable ... I love the heat and humidity, but only when I choose to be in it ... ie. I must have my AC in my home/car/work. LOL I've been on vacation this week and we've only been in the pool twice. Even though I'm heading back to work, feel free to send your heatwave our way.

We're here in Edmonton too so can definitely sympathize with you ... however we are lucky enough to have A/C at home and in our cars.

We just think about the hot humid weather as "training" for WDW

we had a rain and chilly wave As per the wacko weather here during the last year, we seem to have skipped summer The Lower Mainland (BC) had Ontario's winter and is having the far north's summer - wahhh lol

During the heat wave though, we were melting (it went up to 40C with the humidex) so I can sure commiserate with you! I'd rather have the heat though - not being able to wear shorts in late July sucks!
