It is 44 here now and brrrr is it cold. Even though I am used to 20 below for some reason I just can not warm up. My Mom said it is because I got to used to the FL heat and humidity.
I am freezing in NYC too. DH hasn't turned on the heat yet and I'm hoping the sun will come out one of these days soon. We have the electric fireplace on in the living room so its actually warm in there. Its crazy to need the heat so soon- 2 or 3 weeks ago I had the AC on at night.
I am in Northern Ct and it is freezing here! Dh has had the heat on an I must admit that I am glad. I was turning it off and he was turning it up but I give up, I want a fire!
I heard that it is going to be 60 degrees on Wednesday but for now it is damp and cold.
Okay, this is going to sound wacky, but this whole area is wacky. I'm in PA too and there's a few inches of snow on the ground and it's currently 36 degrees, which has been a decent warm up from the last few days. We've gotten down to 28 so far. We're expecting more snow tonight/tomorrow night...YAY! not.
The weather is really wacky here though. Elevations are so different, and I'm in a pretty high elevation. What's ice and snow here is rain down there, and by "down there" I mean 10 minutes south.
Me too, me too. It is 2pm Sunday afternoon here in NH and my weather station in the living room says it is 34.2 outside - i have to go grocery shopping and I really don't feel like braving the cold weather. Even for us here, it is early to be this cold. We barely had a summer, fall was like a blink of the eye and I'm just not ready for winter yet. I had been hoping to get through October before turning on the heat - that didn't work - our heat has been on for 2 weeks now.
It was rather chilly this morning with a bit of light frost on the car windows. Only frost on the ground was in sunken areas. So it probably won't be long before our first real frost...
