Anybody else but me have problems with STVS DVDs skipping/freezing?

Our wedding was May 1, 2009.
We love our video although we haven't watched it in over a year now. We previously had some issues with copies that we received with our package skipping, so Stan was nice and sent me new ones...we watched the one that was the new replacement and it was fine...

We sat down today to watch our video and it starts skipping/freezing in the same exact place as the one before. We put in another copy and it's actually worse! Both of them actually freeze and get stuck to the point where they won't play.

I have e-mailed Stan for more copies, but was wondering if anyone else had similar issues? This is not the Blu-ray copy, just the regular ones. We actually don't have a Blu-Ray player, though we bought the Blur-Ray version.
I'm thinking there might be many brides who might not have bought the Blu-Ray version and if the Blu-Ray one is fine (I am going to go buy a player this week now just to make sure it is) and just the regular versions are problematic, I would have heard more about it here on the boards...

Any thought/opinions/ideas etc.?

The only time I have issues is if the DVD is dirty or has finger prints on it. Then I gently wipe it with a clean cloth and it usually works.

We just got our copies from Stan. Yes, we were married over two years ago, long story, mostly our fault. Anyway, we were heading in to my Dad's and brought the box of DVD's. We put one in yesterday and about 30 minutes into it it started skipping and stopping. We changed machines and the same DVD worked perfectly. I left that one with my dad to replay and I brought the rest of mine home to watch this week. I got 7 copies plus one blu-ray copy. I have alot of watching to do this week.

Have you tried watching the DVD on a different machine - or try wiping it off - like previous poster mentioned? Let us know what happens.

We had the same problem but it seems to be just our DVD player, it works in everyone elses.

Just wondering if anyone has any updates to this. We were going through our DVD's Friday and 3 or 4 of them kept skipping, stopping, we could not FF or Rewind and they kept "going digital". We are watching one right now and so far so good and we are at 1 hour 26 minutes.

We also got the blu-ray version but do not have a blu-ray player. We are thinking of going out today to get one. We are having company over next weekend to watch our wedding video and I want to make sure it plays.
