I know this sounds so early but stations here in Michigan are already starting to play carols, and I just bought twice upon a christmas tonight and watched it.. I work at the Disney Store so I see the decorations all the time now in the mall... I can't wait to write out my christmas cards. I think I might work on them this weekend... I like to have them ready before Thanksgiving.

I am a weird Christmas geek. I put my tree up Thanksgiving weekend. I have almost all of my shopping done this year. I have to get some gift cards, and order something online for my Mom which I can do at the end of the month since it ships almost immediately... and I already have my husband done.. Just waiting to make the cookies... and eat them up!!

I can't wait!!! I've already been listening to Christmas carols, bought my cards, some various decorations, planning our Christmas to see list (Christmas Parades, light watching- we drive around listening to carols drinking hot chocolate looking for Christmas lights-rural fun!, also any shows we want to see, and relatives we want to see...you get the idea)

I keep trying to convince DH to put up the Christmas lights...you know while it's still semi-warm. His reply "It's not Thanksgiving yet" UGH...He doesn't share my Christmas craziness. But after 13 years together he understands my Christmas fetish :D

I would put my tree up right after Thanksgiving too, but we buy a real one and I'm afraid it won't last the season. I'm also afraid my Doberman will bark at it non-stop! She just turned 1 yeaterday so Christmas will be a new experience to her - last year she fit in a stocking!

PS: MERRY CHRISTMAS!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

How is the twice upon a christmas dvd?

I'm excited about christmas this year, just because I am going to WDW right before the holiday!!!

I liked the DVD alot and the storylines behind the cartoons were great for kids who will be watching them.

Me!! Me!! Me!! I cant wait for Christmas.... :p Its my favorite time of the year!! I have most of my shopping already done.. I plan on finishing it up the day after Thanksgiving... I put my tree up the Friday after Thanksgiving too!! I cant wait to go to Interlochen again this year.. Its a tradition for us!! Its a nearby neighborhood and all the houses decorate and light up... Theres usually people who live in that neighborhood that sell drinks and hot dogs and stuff.. Always alot of cars.. and of course my favorite is Six Flags Holiday in the Park..

I've always loved Christmas and get into the spirit early. (We're talking a few days before Halloween! This is when the malls display their Christmas decor.) This year is special because it's our first Christmas in our first house as a married couple. We bought Christmas lights last weekend to string on the outside of our house. In fact, my husband just put them up. (Won't turn them on until Thanksgiving night though.)

I wish my local radio station was playing Christmas carols! I think they start here in about a week or two.....I'll have to stay tunned.

including Halloween! Last year I was bummed because we got the tree up late, etc (we usually do it the Fri after T-day). This year, the tree is already pulled to the front of the attic. I want to start straightening our front room (the "Xmas room") and organizing the decorations. One year we had one animated Disney character in each pane of our front window, and the tree lit behind it....it was breathtaking....for me at least!

I have all my shopping finished and wrapped, and the cards are signed and waiting to be mailed. I always decorate the house the weekend of Thanksgiving, but this year we leave that sunday for Disney. I have to wait until the week of Dec. 6 to decorate!

Oh the humanity!! I can't believe I have to wait that long.
The only reason I'm not decorating before we leave is because the cat is staying home alone the week we are gone, and I can just see coming home and the tree being on the floor! (My mother is coming everyday to feed the cat, so don't turn me in for animal cruelty!! haha)

I have to say I think the worst thing about the holidays are coordinating the schedules with both sides of the family. I think that is the only thing that is bringing me down this year.

Santa is coming to the mall this weekend too. I cant believe it.

I guess my DH is right! I must be crazier than most! I have been begging him since Nov. 1st to get my Christmas decorations down. I'm ready to put up my trees! :hyper: My argument is that we'll be out of town for Thanksgiving, which is normally when we put them up. I also have to go to North Carolina sometime before Christmas. I'm going to see my nephew play College Basketball the first of Dec., and we're spending Christmas at WDW. If I don't get them up soon, I won't have enough time to enjoy them. Right!!! :hyper:

I did meet him half way, and decide that he doesn't have to put up ALL our outside decorations, just to have to take down a large portion of them down before we leave for Fort Wilderness. Gotta decorate the RV. :teeth:

I don't think we're obsessed. I think we're cheerful, fun-loving people! ::yes::

I love getting ready too! I was wrapping presents about an hour ago. I love decorating each room. I start Thanksgiving day (maybe I can talk DH in letting me do one room a few days early) Last year we bought the Mickey Christmas Carol figures at Kmart after Christmas for 75% off. Now I have to decide where to display them.

YES! For some reason I'm rarin to go this year. I'm so glad I'm not alone. We'll all be crazy together. ;)

For the first time in my life I have my Christmas cards ready to go before December. I'm having them postmarked at Disney just for that extra holiday touch.

I'm debating on hauling up the lighted village houses and setting them up tomorrow. I didn't do it last year and my daughter was disappointed. There's 10 and they're time consuming with all the people and accessories. It looks so pretty when it's done, I can't believe I didn't do it last year. What a Scrooge I was.

I have 10 days less to prepare for the holidays since we'll be in FL. so I may as well start now. I already strung my outdoor lights! It was 60 degrees out last weekend. We may not see 60 again until May of next year. I'm trying not to light them until Thanksgiving, but it's hard. My husband says I'm certifiable. If I start playing Christmas music I'm sure he'll call the men in white coats! ;)

Okay Lucky4me,

I think I may be your long lost twin!

I bought my Christmas cards last week. I'm going to address them this weekend. I'm going to send them from DisneyWorld jsut to give them that so special touch!! :cloud9:

I have all of my decorations out of the closet and was going to put my wreath on the door, but figured my neighbors would have me committed. :o

We're going to be in Disney World over the Christmas holiday for the first time. I just can't wait.princess: princess:

I just love Christmas. I have many CDs and Christmas related movies I start watching soon. Our decorations go up Thansgiving weekend or if it's warm the weekend before. I have a big bow window with a ledge, that we display our Chistmas village full of houses and stores. I saw in the Disney catalog they are doing it with the castle and others. Who know maybe I can change my window to a "Disney Christmas".

I just put up my Christmas tree! We usually do it a couple of days before Thanksgiving since I help my elderly parents put theirs up Thanksgiving weekend. Well this moring DH and I were saying it looks like winter outside and gee we wish we could put up our tree. Next thing I know he's in the crawl space hauling out boxes. Now I have to keep my living room blinds closed so my neighbors don't wonder if I've gone insane! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!!

P.S. One funny note, still have some pumpkins on the front porch I think I may be having a holiday identity crisis!

We are excited because we will be in WDW! It will be our first Christmas without stacks of presents, but we are looking forward to 12 days of FUN :)

I love Christmas:D :D

Dh just set my Mickey village. It is all 4 pieces from the DTD store and I love it. Tree is up and decorated and everything is out. Only thing left to do is wrap presents and mail cards.

Ho Ho Ho

The christmas cheer is alive and well in our household!!! We already put upour tree!!! I know its not even Turkey Day, yet but we are leaving the 18th of December for our vacation and I dont want to wait to start that pleasant hummmm in my heart that Christmas time brings!!!!

Merry Yule Time to All!

Dh and I love Christmas. His theme for is "Christmas Blur" yes we are the Griswalds when it comes to Christmas lights. I have almost everyone done. All I have to do it mail out the inlaw's gifts out tomorrow. For the immediate family, I'm not done because dd tends to change her mind from now until Thanksgiving. She tending to her list right now. We do love the cold here too. It's getting cold even for GA.

The last few years I have had a difficult time getting into the spirit of Christmas so I am really looking forward to our upcoming trip! If the WDW decorations, MVMCP, and Disney cheer can't get me into the spirit nothing will, lots of laughs! We will have the added bonus of Christmas to look forward to in order to get past that post trip depression!
