Anybody done family coordinated, nautical themed clothing for boarding photo? (not T-shirts)

Hi, we are taking our first cruise in October, yay! I want to get some fun family photos on the trip, and I love seeing the family boarding pics with matching shirts. However, I am not really a t-shirt person, my husband rolls his eyes at the mention of matching shirts, and my DD will only wear dresses. So I'm thinking of trying to plan coordinating nautical themed outfits, but nothing too matchy-matchy. Has anyone done this, and if so, I would love to see your pics!

Yes, I'm working on plans for pirate night, and Halloween costumes too. But I would like something nice for boarding day.

We've done this, DW is a avid (well zealous) searcher of vintage Disney prints on Ebay. We have enough matching outfits for 5 days. We always get comments on it ranging from "nice outfits" to "where on earth did you find that"

You could do a Donald Duck themed outfit collection. White pants, shorts, or skirt on the bottom (because you shouldn't go pencil is the way Donald does!), a blue top, and a red tie or scarf. It doesn't necessarily have to be a sailor top, although it could be.

On my last cruise we saw a family of 5 (3 teenagers) all dressed up as Smee. Very simple but very very cute.

My mom and I did on our last cruise. My mom wore a navy and white stripped dress and I wore navy shorts and an anchor pattern tshirt. Would be easy to coordinate colours (navy, white and red) in the styles that people feel comfortable with. Great way to look put together without being matchy matchy.
