I'm just trying to work out our plan for August now that I have the EMH info.

Normally on our first day we are out and about really early so go to a park with MMH.

Well what do you know - on our 1st full day there are no MMH. Which means for me to fit in the days that we had planned and to take advantage of one MMH at each park we would have to make our first day a water park day. Not sure how I'm going to convince the kids to chill out on their first morning when all they will want to do is get to the parks.

We like to go to MK on our first morning, so because it's not EMH I'm going to book an 8 am breakfast at Crystal Palace. The rides won't be opened untill 9 but at least we won't waste that early rising jet lag.
We're there similar dates to you & I hadn't realised that some of the Wishes were at 9. Glad you mentioned it so I can work it into our plans. BTW It will be okay for Wishes & Illuminations to be on at the same time as in different parks, you may be thinkin of Specto.

yep we have done w WP 1st day many times

I love the water parks but just don't do them until the middle of the holiday cause i would be scared of burning!:scared1:

I think going to a water park on the first day is great it gives you a day to relax after the journey. :cutie:

We never ever go to a park that has early or late opening. That's when loads of other people go. We find the other parks quieter on those days.

I too think going to the water park on your first day would be lovely. There are still loads of rides there too!

Water Park's are definiatly the way to go on the first day of a holiday. We used to go to one of the big parks, but you normally are knackered by Lunchtime.

We always have a day pottering around doing the more relaxed, minor attractions to acclimatise. When we go in August I think we will have a round of mini golf at fantasia gardens and then stroll across for a mooch around the boardwalk before popping into EPCOT for a late afternoon reservation for dinner at Nine Dragons.:thumbsup2

Thanks for that idea I made up a new plan with MK for our first day.

We always do MK or DHS on the first day, we have to see Mickey on the first day, or it doesn't count.

Would be wary of a Water park on our first day, incase I fell into a coma relaxing and burnt! Tend to leave the Water Parks to use as rest days throughout the holiday after had the chance to build up that base caot of tan!

We have done a Water park on first day once, but we are always itching to get into the parks.
Also I burn so easily, I love the water parks but I have to wear a swim t-shirt and a hat and slap on the sun block!

We now usually do (busy day guides permitting:thumbsup2) Animal Kingdom, we like the pace of the park and it's not too big.
