I think you mean the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point, Ohio. The one planned for Blackpool is just a bigger version of TTD. To be honest, I don't see these as coasters at all, whilst it will be exciting it's not like a real coaster in the Nemesis / Hulk / Duelling Dragons / Montu sense of the word.

And seeing as they have to shut down the Big One in Blackpool during winds and rain (which Blackpool suffers a lot from), I wonder how often the new ride will be open anyway?!

Seeing as some people think Blackpool is "just like Orlando" (see this thread) we'll all end up going to Lancashire instead of Florida It doesn't matter how big or fast they make the rides in Blackpool, I'm still not going there ... ever!

oooooooooooooooh yes - I'll ride it!

I've seen a silimiar one on tv, and I've done the superman ride too - thats better than it looks. Hubby really wanted to go on it and I thought it looked a bit rubbish, but my god it was good. The weightless bit at the top goes on for ages - such good fun.
