Anybody booked Nov 2008

I've tried to book Nov 21-29, 2008 (for our Grand Gathering) for the last 2 weeks and I'm told they show no availability on the Preferred Sites.... only partial sites available. We are allowed to book 500 days out, right? I called 499 days out and was told they were showing nothing available in Preferred for ALL of November. What gives? The CM doesn't know so I'm hoping some of you have heard something?

Silly question....but are you sure they are looking at next year and not this year??? I just booked for this November....can't imagine that '08 is full already.

I have been trying to book for weeks now. I was able to get the last 9 days in October 2008 but have not been able to get anymore days on the reservation. When I pushed the issue, I was told that they have not "loaded" those sites into the system yet. I continue to keep calling twice a week in hopes that they get them loaded.

How did you just book for THIS Nov? I've been calling for 3 - 4 weeks every day, and have been told every day there are no sites available. Of course, I'm needing sites for Nov 17-23, which is Thanksgiving week. Are you going one of the other weeks?

For FW trips I'm a serious overplanner and always start calling at 500 days out for my reservations. Its been my experience that site availability at the fort is hit or miss as far as when its put into the system to become available. Sometimes its days or weeks later than 500. I've also noticed that when they do put sites into the system they are released in blocks......so many sites on one day then a few weeks later they add more. Perhaps this is done so more people have a chance to reserve and not just us overplanners

I called and they had sites...so I booked!!! Maybe I got lucky and got someones cancellation?? I booked for November 4-9 in a full hook up site.

I'm booked for October '08 and the same story: No preferred so we have a full. For some reason they haven't released any of the preferred sites yet for that time. They're not full since we booked exactly 500 days out..the cm said that they just aren't released yet! I think we'll stay with a full since we love the 1600 loop. Who needs tv while at Disney anyway? I figure we'll bring the dvd player for those times we may be stuck inside or need something to watch to fall asleep!

Glad to know it's not just me! I'll just keep calling until Preferred are loaded. I have to admit...I am an overplanner. To me that is part of the fun. In this case, I just want to make sure that our 4 campers are all together on the same loop & try to get Loop 300. We have a pet and I like that one better than the other pet loop that we were on. Also, my DGD loves that playground area at the loop entrance.

Please post here if and when you get it. I'm so tired of dialing and repeating the same thing over and over again. They make you go through the whole spiel every time instead of just checking first!
You liked 300 loop? I found it tight and small. I was wondering about the 700 or 800 loop. Any info on those two?

I tried to reserve a full hook up site for Nov. 26 - Dec. 6, 2008. I was told that they have not released the inventory for Thanksgiving week. I was only able to reserve Nov. 30 - Dec. 4. I was told to call back every couple of days to check if the inventory department released more sites for the remainder days. The frustrating part was I had Dec. 5th also and the reservation womans computer shut down on her and when she booted back up Dec. 5th was taken by someone else. I wanted to scream!!!!

Wow, that's strange. I called again yesterday for November 2008 and the lady checked the entire month of November and said that the only sites that have been released are partial. She said the none of the full or preferred have been released. Her story is consistent with the last 5 or 6 CRO agents that I have talked to in the last month. Are you sure your reservation isn't for 2007 because as you can see, no one has been able to get November 2008 yet. But then again, maybe you got lucky

I just checked my confirmation email and it was for 2008. I must of asked the reservation specialist 5 times "this is for Nov. 2008, right?". I just hope the computer doesn't kick my reservation out for some unknown reason. When I call back to modify my dates I will double check everything is right.

That's great. Guess you had some pixie dust sprinkled on you. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow and hope to have some of your luck.
