Hi everyone. Since my family is trying out Universal for the first time we thought it might be good to find something close by. How is this hotel? It is older so I wonder if it's nice. How good is the location and traffic? How would you rate the pool and how much would kids like it? How are the suites? Would you choose this or spend more money and stay on site. Thank You.

Breakfast is GREAT. Pool is adequate. It is small, has no slide, no themeing but is half inside.
I'd spend the extra money for an onsight hotel with the express access.

I really LOVE Embassy Suites, so I know the lure to staying there. The breakfasts can't be beat, and it's nice to have the extra room.

But, I decided to book a room at the Royal Pacific ($99 per night with the Entertainment card) onsite at Universal for our Christmas trip because of the express access.

Right now, I have 5 nights booked at RP, but since we're going to Sea World and the Holy Land Experience (right name?), I may change that and have us spend part of our trip at ES. I have to decide whether I want to change hotels or not.
