Anybody ate at Hollywood and Vine buffet? Thinking about doing this for Fantastmic dinner package.

We've eaten there on each trip as part of the Fantasmimc! package and really enjoy the food there. The options seemed more varied and healthier than at most other buffets in WDW and it's a favorite of ours....just wish they hadn't dropped the Character Lunch!

We just did Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic package on August 30th and didn't care for the food very much. Yes, there is a large selection of food but the quality IMHO was poor. The restaurant was pretty messy, the floors were dirty and the service to get a drink was horrible. It could have been an off night but I would go to Mamma Melrose or Brown Derby next time instead.

This restaurant gets good and bad reviews. We've eaten here 3 times and have thoroughly enjoyed it all 3 times. The selection is very large and very good - in my family's opinion. We've always had pretty good service. It is a favorite of ours.

We ate there one night a couple of years ago at the last minute. We wanted to sit down and eat and did not have a PS but found ourselves outside H&V. They had immediate seating so we were kind of worried about it when we went in and saw how empty it was. We were pleasantly surprised! It had a nice varied food selection that we thought was delicious, and a wonderful server. We have added it to our PS list for our next trip in January, and even without characters it is one of our faves now!

we've had dinner at h&v twice... the most recent just two weeks ago... it was excellent... food was fresh and plentiful and well-prepared w/many varied offerings... the kids enjoyed the special kids buffet and also liked that they were able to select from the adult as well... the desserts were heavenly, i should have left more room! LOL!

We ate there a couple years ago. We too were surprised at how empty it was. We were, however, very impressed with the entire experience. The food was excellent, the CM's working there were very attentive and cheerful. The place was very clean. The variety of food was great too. We wouldn't hesitate to eat there again.

I have a package booked there for next week. Good to hear most of you think it's okay!

We ate there on 8/27 and it was fantastic! Even my DH, who is picky beyond belief, raved over how great the food was. It is a must-do for us from now on.

We loved it!!!

We were just there on Sunday. They got us in a bit early (15 of us) because it started to rain. Then offered us the Fantasmic dinner package which we didn't have because we had a latter PS.

A wide variety! The turkey pot roast was excellent. They also had a great selction of cold salads. Some other options were blackened pork chops, salmon. steak. smoked sausage and the string beans were Yummy!

The dessert bar was great for adults and for children. I say you can't beat the price. And our server was awesome!

I love Hollywood and Vine. My favorite item is the burbon rootbear sweet potatoes! It's nice for kids because they have their own section at the buffet offering chicken strips, french fries etc. I think you'll love this resturant. We're going to eat there in on our next trip in November.

I really did not like the food there. There was a good selection but for me, the food was not all great!

Well, I last ate there two years ago, but from what I recall the food was widely varied and pretty good.
Service was also above par. I recall the host taking us through the buffet himself, explaining as we went. My traveling buddy and I both absolutely loved the creamed corn spoon bread, and commented favorably to our server. He reappeared a few moments later, unbidden, with a copy of the recipe for us.
I'd go back.

We ate here on our August trip as part of the Fantasmic dinner package. I thought the food was very good - second only to Bomas for a buffet (we also did CP, Chef Mickey's this trip, and have done several other buffets previously). They had a great blackened salmon dish and the sirloin steak was very good. I would definitely eat here again.

The service was only okay and the place was somewhat messy, but it was a very busy restaurant (it was raining very hard and they were inundated with people -we had to wait even with a PS) that night.

I will definitely eat here again.
