any1 going in december 17 2005 on the west

Take it from me, you ladies are just getting started with your "Little girls" !!!

I have raised 2 girls who are now married with families of their own.
My DH and I love it because now it's payback time with their own kids are they grow up!! :rotfl:

My advice, stock up big time on migraine strength excedrin, no doze to keep you up while waiting for them be get home at 4 in the morning, only 4 hours past curfew, and have your husband practice is mean look and stern voice!
It won't do any good, but you'll have to try. :confused3 Ha! Ha!
Most of all remember your not alone, and keep a sense of humor, someday they will have kids of their own who will do the same to them and then you'll sit back and smile just like us. :teeth:
Kathy

Diane, when has khaki EVER been little????? :rotfl: Sooo, I take it the shopping with Nana was successful, but did YOU get anything? What about Nana...she's going on the cruise too! Any pre-cruise plans made??????

Oh my - 43 days - that means SIX WEEKS! I'm so not ready..... I have too much to do between now and then. I have got to get on the stick and get all the non-cruise-related stuff DONE before Thanksgiving (which is 3 weeks from yesterday) so that I can spend the time between Thanksgiving and the cruise doing CRUISE related things! I'd better start a list of things to do for both.......... And I just realized that our passports should be coming pretty soon - it's been almost 4 weeks since we sent them in.

Do I look sick to you guys? Like maybe Monday I'll not be well and need to take a sick day? (cough, cough, sneeze) I don't have enough vacation days to just take a vacation day ... not if I want to have enough for the holidays. I'll come back from the cruise and a week at the beach with just 4 hours of vacation leave left... yikes! Cough cough sneeze.... (just kidding).

I know what you mean, Cindy. I am so not ready either. I made a list of things that had to be done before we go and it just doesn't look good. That doesn't even include the packing part of it which for the eight of us could be quite a task all on its own. I would like to be Kathy who gets a phone call to say we are going on a cruise in a couple days and by the end of the day she is packed. No time to even worry about what all needs to be done. Just pack and go.

I have had sick children for long enough now. The flu is making its way through our house and that always takes extra time to care for sick children. Two of my little ones have been sick and then my oldest got it. Now it is my husband and my second oldest. She actually called in sick to work today which is just something she has never done so I know she is really sick. She has barely left her bed today. Glad my youngest seems to be better though because she is too tiny to be sick for very long. She was so fevered and just couldn't keep anything down. We all got our flu shots about a week before this started going through our house. Sure hope it is done before we leave in 35 days.

Best keep busy here. I have a pile of work to do at work today and over the weekend. Would much rather work on cruise-related stuff. A sick day just may be in need here too before the trip.

Take care,

Sandra,
Sick babies are never fun! Just be glad it's now and not 6 weeks from now. That's what I told myself and my girls when they got sick last month..."you can be sick now, just not in December!" :earboy2:
I also know what you mean about not being nearly prepared enough. I have everything sorted out in my head, but getting it to the done stage is quite another matter! Fortunately, this cruise takes care of most of my Chrsimats shopping, but there are still so many things to do before the crusie, especially since I won't be home the week before Christmas to do them. And, I've really only got 5 weeks b/c we're doing WDW before the cruise. AAAAHH!!! Did I really say 5 weeks??? Oh dear, I better go get busy!
Pixie dust your way for everybody to get better!

Hi Kelley:

Thanks for the pixie dust. We surely need it. I feel a cold coming on a little more this morning now too. We have five weeks less one day until we leave. That is so exciting but very scary as well. We will be at WDW, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure the week before our cruise. I best get busy on my work today so that hopefully I can do something to prepare for our trip tomorrow.

Take care,

Sandra,
I'm sure I could find it if I searched through the archives enough, (but who's got that time!) are you and your family going to Mickey's VMCP? We'll be there Thursday night. My kids still don't know about WDW before the cruise. My daughter has been intentionally growing her hair for locks of love for a year and a half. A friend put a buzz in my ear about doing her haircut at WDW, so we'll be doing that before the cruise. That's how we're going to let them know about that part of the trip..."Well Victoria, it's time to get your hair cut. We really wanted to make this special, so what do you think about WDW?" or something along those lines.
Well, gotta run...the kids are quiet and that's NEVER good! Going to a black belt dinner tonight, so I won't get to watch the Magic sailaway :confused3

Hi Kelley:

We are going to MVMCP on Tuesday night. We are doing MGM Studios on Dec. 11, MK on Dec. 12 and 13, Islands of Adventure on Dec. 14, Universal Studios and Downtown Disney Dec. 15, and AK Dec. 16. We will also being spending Dec. 25 and 31 at MK, Seaworld on Dec. 26, Typhoon Lagoon and Radio City Christmas Spectacular on Dec. 28, Epcot and Candlelight Processional on Dec. 29, Discovery Cove on Dec. 30, and Busch Gardens on Jan. 1. Dec. 27th is still open for discussion. May end up on the Candlelight Processional without the supper on the 27th. It is a different narrator that night than on Dec. 29 and we kind of wanted to see both of them. We are going to the Spirit of Aloha show on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately it is time to head home on Jan. 2. We were hoping for a Disney on Ice show while we were there but haven't found one yet. What else are you doing for the week you are there?

Take care,

Happy November! How is everyone doing?? I hope all is well with everyone. I am in Ohio visiting my parents for a few days. Our leaves are gone but travelling south put me back a few weeks and I get to see the color again.

Our turn is getting closer, plus I have the Thanksgiving trip to look forward to as well. I am also going to Palm Beach for work (if I can find a place to stay) next week so I am taking a few days off before the trips begin.

Do I need to send out the spreadsheet again? I can, but I am not sure that we have had any additions (a few deletions though).

Enjoy your fall days - I keep thinking that winter will be arriving in Michigan soon - but not yet.

Oh my - we're sailing in 5 1/2 weeks and we were near the bottom of Page 2 :earboy2:

I got busy on the weekend and got some things done that I needed to take care of before T'giving, so I'm feeling better about getting into serious trip planning mode.

Do you guys just love this dancin' banana? He cracks me up

So has someone figured out when we should start watching for our documents? :hourglass

I hope docs come soon, although out TA said that they will arrive about 3 weeks before. Having those in your hand just makes our cruise even more real!!! :cool1:

Carol :sunny:

DId anyone book a GTY cabin and been assigned a room yet? I cannot wait to see what room we get? I will take whatever but an upgrade would be nice.

Hugs
Tami :earsboy: :earsgirl: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Tami, My sister booked a gty and she has her cabin assignment. She booked a cat 9 gty and got cat 9 midship, perfect location.

She logged onto disneycruise.com and it had her cabin number listed there.

A month from now we would have arrived in WDW staying at BCV for the first time! :cool1:

One month from now we will be spending our second night in Florida. We have rented a house there. This is our first time visiting Florida. We have been to Disneyland but not WDW.

See you soon.

Would you like to go to Nassua instead of Cozumel? I wouldn't! But that's what's happening to the passengers of the December 3 and December 31 cruises on the Disney Magic. For more information, see http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=957446

So far, the itinerary for the December 17 cruise still shows Cozumel. But, according to an agent at DCL's Castaway Club "800" number, the itinerary for the December 17 could change too.

I'll be very happy if we go to Cozumel. I'll be reasonably happy if we go Costa Maya. I could be happy if we go to one of the other Western Caribbean ports that DCL has never been to (depending on the port). I'll very unhappy if we go to Nassua.

It's true that Cozumel received severe damage from Hurricane Wilma. The initial pictures of the damage made things look hopeless. But pictures from last week show that tremendous progress was made in the two weeks immediately after the storm. By December 21, when our Disney Magic cruise is scheduled to call on Cozumel, two months will have passed since Wilma. It won't be perfect yet, but I'm sure we can have a very enjoyable time in Cozumel. Even Chankannab Park is scheduled to reopen December 20!

I'm going to contact my travel agent and Disney Cruise Line.

We got out passports in the mail on Thursday! Hooray! And last night, I was helping a friend finish packing up her house and when I went to get the hanging stuff from the closet, I discovered she had a pirate costume ~ so I tried it on, it fit, and I borrowed it pirate: Aye, mateys - 'tis true - I now have a pirate costume for Pirate night!

5 weeks from right now, we'll be on the ship sailing sailing sailing!
