Any word on when ROL will be rolled out? - Probably will be with the fixed Yeti.

If ROL is operating in November, what time do you think it would be? It seems like something things are earlier with daylight savings time, but other things (like Wishes) are later because of the holiday season.

Definitely following along with the ROL progress. (1) because I'm really looking forward to the show and we'll be there in mid-October...but also because we make FP+ in a little less than 2 weeks and this is messing with my plan for our AK day...I have two separate plans depending on whether or not ROL is open and the FP+ that we choose are different in the two plans...even if ROL is not going to be open we want to try out the nighttime entertainment and night safari, which we would use a FP+ for, but Disney hasn't extended hours at AK in October yet... o_O

Lately it seems that the heroes in Disney management were the financial boffins who can stretch out cap ex over many quarters and perform other money saving spreadsheet tricks.

But you see a lot of posts like this. People's plans are being messed up ... and for every family who carries on with their vacation regardless, who knows how many families will decide to wait it out.

In the face of delays and uncertainty over opening dates of ROL, Avatar, Toy Story, Star Wars, Great Mickey Ride, Guardians of the Epcot ... there will be lots of postponed vacations for the next several years. Which on top of the presumed drop in attendance of foreign guests, Disney can't afford.

The new heroes in Disney are going to be the ones who can get projects done as early as possible. People who can get teams of engineers working in parallel ... for example working out the sequencing glitches in a ROL sandbox during construction of the floats, not afterwards. They're going to be heroes for exactly the opposite reason that their predecessors were heroes ... by spending money.

My gut says sept 2 or near it. Club villain starts back up and the singers in jungle book are a big part of that event. Also my professional experience is it takes 60 to 90 days to replace purpose built hardware if it really sank which is right about sept.

Disney is going to keep their mouth shut until they are sure it's working though. They won't want a repeat of press lined up but no show.
Who is that? There's only 1 singer at CV, Konzo. They had new auditions for him

I agree with this for sure -- I think Disney has a tendency to get by on strength of brand, but when the nostalgia wears off because the experience is no longer "as magical" either because of project delays, CMs being overworked because of cuts to staffing on rides, etc., quality of food served...at some point things will have to give. Not sure what the tipping point will be - we certainly haven't hit it yet considering we're going back for our 4th trip in 5 years...but I know our plan is to hold off on going again until after Star Wars opens up. I'm sure others will be doing the same.

I beginning to believe that ROL is going to fall well short of its billing. Can a few new rafts here and there really fix all of the problems that are well chronicled on this board, and make what is currently a very underwhelming show, spectacular as advertised?

From what I understand, very little of Jungle Book is part of RoL. Maybe some music and dancing but not the "overall gist" of the show. I'm not worried. But I don't think JB sucks either. I really love the music

The only part of jungle book that will be used in RoL is the projection most screen. The rest of it is only for jungle book. It isn't just a few new floats either. RoL will have two boats, 4-5 animal floats plus 5 lotus flower floats. Lighting effects, water effects and fountains.

In-water fixed hardware isn't being changed as far as I know.

Basic water screen wont be changed, which many have said is poor quality + the visibility from different perspectives (seats), determines the quality of the overall show.

Water screen has been fixed since the show debuted. As for seating, the seating was built for rivers of light not jungle book which is why there are viewing problems.
