Any word on the picnic option at AK?

Last year, DW offered a picnic lunch at AK...you ordered your choice in the morning and then could pick it up around lunchtime. I have heard several families say that it was great, but I think they only offered it for a few short months. Any word on if that will be returning for this summer or for free dining?

Haven't seen any announcements from Disney as to exactly when this option could be offered in 2010.

I read the following on disneyfoodblog.com (not official Disney site)

Currently, Picnic in the Park is available to anyone via a grab-and-go area in the Beastly Bazaar in Discovery Island.

According to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel, “guests may purchase a picnic for a group of 2, 4, or 6 people and select a non-alcoholic beverage, a choice of sandwich, chips, and dessert. The sandwich choices include Turkey Focaccia; Ham and Salami on Ciabatta; Tuna on Pita; Vegetarian Wrap; and Chicken Caesar Wrap.”

They do have the grab and go sandwiches apparently on a permanent basis - most posters when they ask about the picnic are referring to the order-ahead picnic with chicken and hot or cold sides (not just chips). That may or may not be offered on any given day based on the designation as "seasonal."

I'm glad I saw this thread. I didn't know about the picnic option or the disney food blog website. Thank you both for mentioning these things!
