Any word on a soft opening today for the general public on the free dining code offer

My husband surprised me with a trip to DW in Dec. He only reserved POFQ--no tickets or dining plan. He wanted to leave it up to me.

When I heard about the Disney Visa offer--I called to apply for a Visa--they said it will be about 7 days for approval. Now I see they might open up the free dining to the public.

If they offer the free dining to the public, can we just add it to the reservation my husband made? Assuming I get approved for the Visa, is it worth re-booking on the Visa? My husband is really not into Disney as much as I am, so I only requested the Visa in my name.

I would keep my old ressie and have disney switch it to include the free dining. To me one less credit card is a good thing.
