I know that there will be DVC previews in late January for EE, but what about AP-holders? Any word yet on if/when there will be EE Previews? (hopehopehope, especially for late January when we'll be there...)

Thanks,
agnes!
PS - I also posted this over on the CB yesterday, but have had no replies yet so wanted to try here :earsboy: .

I can't answer your question exactly, but the answer must be really soon. CM previews are this week!! (so my son, how works at Epcot, has been told).

I hope we hear too. I'm both a DVC member and AP holder and will be there Feb 12th-17th, so I miss the DVC preview. Hoping for a AP preview while we are there.

I'm an AP holder who will be there when Ryan is there, too. Hoping for an EE preview as well. Pixie dust for us! :wizard:

This is our first year as AP holders, so how does the preview work? Also, do you have to sign up to get an invitation or does it matter?

Don't know if you've seen this, but it's from yesterday's WDW update on mouseplanet.com:

Disney announced last week that Disney Vacation Club members would be offered a sneak "peak" at Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain January 26-29, 2006. From previously obtained information, it is believed that Annual Passholders and cast members will be offered sneak previews on the same dates. DVC members will be permitted to bring three guests to the preview. The new attraction is expected to officially open on April 22.

I've never been to an AP preview before either, but I will be there during the scheduled DVC preview dates. If they turn out to be previewing for AP holders at the same time I'd like to go.

Can anyone tell me how that works? Is it all day, just walk up and show your pass? Or is it limited, hit or miss? Thanks for any info.

Hoping Ap for Feb 26 thru March 3rd. :Pinkbounc

A CM just told us last week that the ride will open to the public in April. CM's will be invited to ride in March and AP holders will receive invitations to ride in Feb. No invites for DVC members, according to this guy.

Well, the DVC previews have been officially announced, so looks like they're going to happen.

Just another example of how wrong some CM can be. As other have said CM's get there after hours starting the week after New Years, and its only been rumored that AP will be allowed to experience EE at the same time of DVC. But also too remember that have surprise opening for anyone at any given time like that did for Soarin. Its just a matter of passing there at any given time and getting lucky.

Belive nothing of what you hear, half of what you see.

For the AP and DVC previews, you just show up and show them your AP or DVC card. The CM will let you in to ride. You are allowed to ride it as many times as you want during the preview, but you do have to stand in line to wait for each ride.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: That's fabulous news!!!! Although, I do have a friend who owns DVC and will be there the same time as us, I'd rather not have to rely on meeting up with her!!! Thanks for the info!!!

Your CM was very wrong. While the ride won't officialy open until April 7, 2006 DVC previews will be held at the end of January. AP previews will most likely be around the same time, and random guest previews could begin as yearly as January 8, 2006.

My son and I were in WDW when they were doing the soft opening of Mission Space, it was not announced to the public. My son and I had decided to go back to our room for a short rest, we turned on the TV, and the soft opening was on the local Florida news. Live.
we high tailed it to Epcot, and off we went. It was great.
My daughter and I are going to be there on the 8-14....perhaps we will get lucky!

If not, well, heck...we are still at Disney!

Thank you! I'll be hoping for AP previews at the end of January...but if I miss them then I guess I'll just have to go ahead and plan another trip! :teeth:

Based on past previews, if they do include AP holders with the DVC preview are AP holders also allowed to bring guests? My sil lives close by but I am the one with an AP and I would love for us both to do the preview and would make a trip to visit her during that timeframe.

Have they allowed AP holders to bring guests during past previews?

So, as a DVC member, I can ride as many times as I want during those dates? And. . . I get to invite 3 guests each time???? That would be great because I am getting requests from people that will be there at that time to coordiate with them a meeting time so that they can go with me. I would like to accomodate as many as possible.
