ANy Wishers done Cleveland Rocksn;RUns??

DH and I are thinking about doing this run, having a hard time finding a hotel but if we do we are going.

Have any WISHers done it before? What was your opinion??? Is it pretty flat???

Ya it on May 18, 2008, there is a full 1/2 and 10K. I don't see anything in the info I have that shows the course but it starts at St Clair Ave at E. 13th Street???? I think it part of the Rock and Roll Marathon series as the medal looks very similar.

We would be doing the 1/2

I don't think that it is part of RnR, but I'm not positive. I think the reference to the RnR is b/c the Rock Hall of Fame is located here in our town. It looks like a pretty cool medal.

I've not ever participated. The half is new and the full has always been out of my reach. Now we are always away that time for vaca.

I've heard it is a well run event. DH says there are not any hills in Cleve. However, the bridge that you will cross on the way back if it is in the half is a up and over bridge. Usually the marathoners get that at the last couple miles and it is not fun at that point.

Sorry, that's about all I know of it. I'm not certain who host hotel is and will try to look into that unless anyone esle has been and has info.

Thanks for the info Lily. I actually forget the name of the host hotel but it is completely full. My own fault for waiting so long to decide to register.

Looking at the course map, it looks like there will be a few minor inclines, but nothing devastating; like an onramp/offramp type thing. The website doesn't say that the Mariott is full and I can tell you the rooms there are very nice. If you get a north-facing room you have a view of Browns Stadium and Lake Erire.
