I just got mine today and tried it out. Works great so far I've seen a HUGE improvement in my skin tones and colors. What do you use to edit your RAW files if you have one?


I used the adobe RAW program so now I'm curious how Lightroom would do. I may have to try another trial period. I did like it a lot the first time I did. But was having memory problems running multiple programs so it was quite the pain.

I don't use a gray card, although I probably should. In reality, I just eye-ball the white balance, and maybe use the white balance eye-dropper to click on an area of white or gray in the photo.

Lightroom actually uses the exact same RAW processing engine as Adobe Camera Raw (ACR). So everything you're already doing in ACR, you can do in Lightroom. Lightroom has the additional (powerful) advantage of also organizing all your photos into a single catalog.

Adobe *just* announced the 2nd public beta of Lightroom 3 yesterday! Here's the link to the LR3 beta 2: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/lightroom3. It's a free download, and you can use it until June 30, 2010. It's supposed to have a lot of improvements since the 1st beta six months ago, and tons of improvements compared to Lightroom 2.
