Any weeks in May we should stay away from?

We're looking to plan a trip this May. Besides the opening of Pandora (may 27th) are there any other events that we should be aware of? Thank you!

Last week of May is when the summer crowds start arriving. We went the first week of May a few years ago and thought the crowds were really manageable (but it rained a LOT).

We went last week in May arriving on memorial day. I would say there were average crowds. I expected large crowds and was surprised it wasnt that bad even on memorial day at Epcot was manageable.

We generally go the next to last week in May, right after our son's school lets out. Crowds are building, but manageable.

Ditto that crowds increase throughout the month, so the earlier, the better....

We went in mid May in 2015...The crowds were definitely busy but we still managed to get everything we wanted done. (My kids got to meet every Princess in this trip so it will always be one of our favorites.) I'd go back in May again. The crowds were busy but not a hindrance.

DD just booked a trip for the last week of May and found more availability at the onsite resorts the last week as opposed to the third week.

If you want to go to the disboards/wdwinfo 20 year anniversary event (week plus big event on june 1) then you want to not avoid week of may 28th (and it's pandora opening week so double score there if you care).

They haven't put out a full schedule yet but the way john talks on the podcasts, they are trying to get an exclusive disboards/wdwinfo only night at pandora (my best guess).

they also have the best group rates for a room I've ever seen..

Yup.. the group rates beat my AP rate by a mile. If you have never been to a celebration put on by the Disboards/Dreams Unlimited/Dis Unplugged, they are usually pretty darn cool.
