My neice was accepted into the Fall 2003 WDWCP as a hostess in a full-service restaurant. She's so excited-my sister blames me for Jenna's love of Disney. I have to admit I'm pretty proud of that!

My question is-Will Jenna be able to make room ressies for family coming down to visit her? Her mom and aunt will be visiting her in November and I'm planning a quick trip in December to visit(gotta support my neice, you know!). If she makes the ressie, will she need to be with us when we check in? I imagine she'll be working and don't want to wait till she's available that day.

Any other hints or suggestions on making my neice's transition to WDWCP a smooth one would also be appreciated.

Don't quote me on it, but I'm pretty sure she will be able to make reservations for family while she's down there- and for a pretty good discount too. :) No, she won't have to be there. I had a friend do that for me last summer. I did the college program in spring 2001. You can read all about it on my webpage- http://www.angelfire.com/musicals/bdwaybelle/ or feel free to ask me anything you or she wants to know!

Congratulations to your niece!

My daughter is currently at WDW on the WDWCP. You might want to take a look at this thread which has been discussing the WDW College Prgram.

To answer your question, yes, she can make hotel ressies for family and friends. If she will not be there with you at check-in, she just needs to go by that resort's front desk within 3 days of your arrival to show them her CM ID for your reservation. Then you can check in whenever you arrive.

yep, what jk1 said is correct. I did this twice for my family while i was on the program. I believe a 40% discount was taken off of a rack rate. Instead of the usual 309 at BC in mid-may, i believe it was around 165 a night.;)

Ditto the above...a good friend of mine was in the program last Fall and got us 50% off at ASSp then BC. She tried to get is into ASMovies, but was told they didn't offer the CM discount because it was too popular. (She tried MANY times to get us in there before finding that out!) Also, she showed her ID at ASSP, then when we transferred to BC, she forgot, but BC said it was okay.
